Most side projects fail quietly: months of building, then nobody pays. Would you pay? shows your startup to real people who swipe right only if they'd pay for it. You see the % who'd pay, who they are, and who clicked through. Free.

I'm so happy I came across this today! I have found myself being caught in the trap of continuously developing enhancements to ensure real value for a paid tier of my app, this will give me some valuable clarity on that. I will definitely give it a try and look forward to the feedback I get from it as I prepare for my first product hunt launch
AI2sql
@chantal_r This made my day, thank you! 🙏
That trap is exactly why I built it. I kept adding "one more feature" before asking if anyone would pay.
Tip: describe your paid tier in the card's one-liner, not just the app. Then the swipes tell you if that specific offer is worth paying for.
Good luck with your first Product Hunt launch! Let me know when it's live, happy to support 🚀
@mustafaergisi thank you for the tip, the 90 characters wasn't enough to add that description, but I've uploaded it and joined your 'would you pay' community. Congrats again on the launch and good luck

@chantal_r awesome, thanks for joining! 🙌 and good point on the 90 characters. a screenshot of your pricing page works well as the card image too, so people see the paid tier right away. good luck with your launch!
Congrats on the launch! What's the benefit for the target audience who are swiping? I work with early-stage startups and this is such a fun way to see initial interests.

@heyitsirenechan Thank you! Great question, and honestly the one I think about most.
Right now swipers get:
• a fun 30-second way to discover new indie tools before anyone else
• a direct voice: every swipe goes straight to the maker
• no signup, no email, nothing to lose
Next I want to give "I'd pay" swipers something real back, like early access or a launch discount from the maker.
Since you work with early-stage startups: would a cohort want to test their ideas together here? I'd love to hear what would make it useful for them.
Congrats, a price range on every swipe would sharpen this

How do you decide which people see a particular startup idea? Is it based on their interests or the type of product?
AI2sql
@julian_ting2 Great question! Right now everyone sees the same deck in random order, with one rule: new startups that haven't reached 10 swipes go first, so every maker gets results fast.
Instead of filtering who sees what, we ask swipers their role (developer, founder, marketer), so makers see who would pay, not just how many.
Matching by interest is on my list as the deck grows. Would you want to pick categories before swiping, or should it learn from your swipes?
MonitUp
Love the idea. Validating whether people would actually pay before spending months building is such a simple but valuable concept. Congrats on the launch! 🚀
AI2sql
@farukdurak Thank you Faruk! 🙏 That's exactly the pain I kept running into myself. Add MonitUp to the deck too, would love to see what people say 🚀
Would you run your next idea through a quick validation tool like this before writing a single line of code?
