Google Tasks is fine for jotting things down. It’s terrible for planning your day. No Today view. No overdue section. No way to see what’s due this week at a glance. Just flat lists. Sunrise is a planner built on top of Google Tasks. See today’s tasks, catch what’s overdue, scroll through what’s coming up, and organize work on a kanban board — all synced with your existing Google Tasks lists. Your data stays in Google.

Google TasksManage, capture, and edit your tasks from anywhere, at anytime, with to-dos that sync across all your devices
4.7 (7 reviews)
Also considered:
It’s simple, syncs everywhere, and lives inside the Google account I already use. I don’t need another app or another login. I just need a place to capture and check off tasks without setting up a whole system.

CursorAI coding agent
5.0 (897 reviews)
Also considered:
I use Cursor more like an agent than an IDE. I describe what I want, it works across the codebase, and I steer from there. Composer 2.5 is fast, capable, and cheap enough that I actually use it all day without thinking twice. Other tools felt like smarter autocomplete. This feels closer to delegating real work.
