Every unchecked box is a reminder of what you didn't do. Opening the app feels overwhelming, not helpful. That's where Slate comes in — a focus timer that removes features instead of adding them. Built on three simple principles: 1. Pure monochrome design — Only black and white. No colors, no visual noise. Every element that doesn't help you focus? Gone. 2. Tasks that expire — Everything auto-archives after 7 days. If it mattered, you'd have done it. No endless guilt lists. 3. Simple Pomodoro timer — 15, 25, or 45 minutes. Auto dark mode kicks in.
