Hey Product Hunt 👋,

I’m Wells, excited to launching Sheet0 — a spreadsheet that looks like Excel but works like self-driving!

I’ve heard countless friends struggle with exporting data, copy-pasting between tools, and nursing stale spreadsheets.

The real bottleneck isn’t “analysis” — it’s getting data ready to analysis.

What Sheet0 does

  1. Starts at the source: Connect to any website, file and APIs, Sheet0 turns them into analysis‑ready tables.

  2. Familiar grid, no setup: No formulas required, no hotkeys to memorize — just tell it what you want and Sheet0 does the heavy lifting.

  3. Live tables, SQL‑backed: Every table is a fresh, stays synced and queryable against your upstream sources.

  4. Trust by design: Sheet0 auto-generates all the SQL and data-processing steps and hides them by default. You don’t need to read or learn them — until you want to audit, explain, or modify.

What makes Sheet0 different

  1. Grounded results: Prompts compile into executable hided data-collection and processing code, run directly against your real sources. No guesses — that’s how we ensure trust and explainability without adding friction.

  2. SQL-native foundation: Every table is a live SQL view when you need power, with a simple UI when you don’t.

  3. Minimize learning curve: A spreadsheet you already know, powered by natural language and automation.

🙌 Try it out & share your thoughts

We’d love for you to try Sheet0, got ideas for connectors, templates, or workflows you’d love to see next? Drop them in the comments and come chat with us directly on Discord 👉 https://discord.gg/9b6VnuKPQN

We would love to build with you.

@wellswang How does Sheet0 differentiate from Notion AI's similar products/features? I think they are quite powerful already? (Heard Lark base is decently smart with all kinds of AI features from my Chinese VC-backed start-up friends too)

Wells Wang

@sophialgrowth Hi Sophia — awesome question, thank you for asking! 🙌

Notion AI and Lark Base are fantastic for productivity and collaboration, but they’re built mainly around document-style data — where AI helps you write, summarize, or manage info inside their ecosystem.

That said, tools like Lark Base can have a steep learning curve if you want to use them effectively — there’s often a lot of setup, configuration, and schema design involved before you get real insights.

Sheet0 is built from the opposite direction — from data outwards.
Instead of managing static content, Sheet0 connects directly to real data sources: websites, APIs, and files. It runs browser automation in the cloud, extracts and cleans data in parallel, and stores everything in a live, SQL-backed spreadsheet.

So when you ask Sheet0 something like:

"For the latest Y Combinator batch, get all founders, check their alma maters, rank the schools by number of founders.”

It doesn’t just mock an answer — it actually runs those tasks: opens pages, pulls data, cleans and structures it, and gives you a sortable, auditable sheet you can query, visualise or export.

The key differences:

  • 🧭 Intent-driven, not manual: you describe what you want, Sheet0 figures out how to get it.

  • ✅ Grounded in real sources: every result is verifiable and traceable.

  • 🔍 Auditable pipeline: you can inspect or edit every SQL step behind the scenes.

  • ⚡ Live updates: sheets can stay synced with your original data.(coming soon!)

Sheet0 more about automating the messy parts of data collection and analysis~

@wellswang If I'm trying to scrape 10K deep link pages in one go, is Sheet0 throttled by bot detection?

Nika

Hey team,

I’m a bit curious, what made you decide to offer a lifetime deal? I like these kinds of offers, but I also see some potential risks, especially with relatively new products. I’ve seen many cases where makers quit the project within two years, and the website becomes unavailable.

Considering that I’d be paying around $2,000 for such a deal, which is supposed to cover my “lifetime”, I’d feel a bit hesitant.

How can you assure your lifetime users that their access will truly be long-term?

Wells Wang

@busmark_w_nika Hi Nika — thanks so much for your thoughtful question and for believing in us! ❀

Our lifetime deal is a way to thank and empower our earliest supporters — the people who trust us before anyone else does. We truly believe that building a great product means standing alongside great users and listening to their voices.

We’ve raised a $5M seed round from world-class venture capital partners, giving us the resources to keep building and improving Sheet0 for the long run. For us, Sheet0 isn’t just a product — it’s our mission.

To make this commitment crystal clear:

👉 If Sheet0 were to close within 1 year, we’ll refund 100% of the lifetime payment.
👉 Within 2 years, we’ll refund 50% — no questions asked.

The lifetime plan is roughly equivalent to 1.5 years of our Pro plan, and before our funds ever run out, we’ll ensure Sheet0 continues for our users.

That said, we firmly believe this won’t happen.

We also see our lifetime members as part of the Sheet0 team — true co-builders of this journey. In the future, we’ll offer special privileges like Sheet0 limited-edition merch, early access to beta features, private community access, invitations to visit our office and more.

Your trust fuels our mission 🙌

Nika

@wellswang Thank you for clarifying this. 5M is pretty good when it comes to some financial stability, and I will have my fingers crossed for you and your scaling.

Cruise Chen

Feeling it extremely useful while I need to source data from multiple online platform! How do you ensure the accuracy btw?

Yori Han

@cruise_chen Really glad to hear you’re finding it useful! 🙏

Under the hood, Sheet0 runs on TiDB, a distributed SQL database we chose for its reliability and scalability.
All scraping, cleaning, and structuring are orchestrated through our own Sheet0 Data Language (SDL)

a system we designed from scratch to guarantee data lineage and accuracy at every step.

Jesna James

This sounds great. As someone who has spent a lot of time with SQL queries and running VLOOKUPs, Sheet0 can save so much time.
Kudos to the team!

Wells Wang

@jesna_james Thanks! love to hear you more feedback🙌🙌🙌

Chloe Liu

Just played around with Sheet0 I didn’t expect the data visualization part to be that intuitive. It feels like the product thinks to me.

Yori Han

@chloe_liu1 Thanks Chloe! We spent a lot of time making the visualization feel natural like the sheet actually understands your intent. Really happy that part stood out to you!

Nyun Lilith

The whole browsing simulation is mesmerizing. huge congratulations to the team for pulling this off so beautifully.

Wells Wang

@nyun_4 Thank you so much! We spent a lot of time refining the browsing and automation experience — super happy you noticed the little details 😄 Appreciate your kind words!

Janette Szeto

Wow!Sheet0 is the world's first Data Agent specifically designed for "0 illusion" data capture. Gald to see your launch!

Wells Wang

@janette_szeto Thanks Janette! Yes — that’s exactly our goal: a “zero hallucination” data agent that’s transparent and auditable by design. So glad you caught that 🙏
