SelfAware helps you slow down, understand your emotions, and gain mental clarity through guided self-reflection. Track your mood, explore your thoughts, and notice emotional patterns with gentle daily check-ins that help you feel calmer and more connected to yourself. The thoughts you write are end-to-end encrypted, so your private reflections stay yours.

how does the daily check-in actually decide what to prompt you with, does it adapt over time or is it more of a static set of questions?
@hayrettinvwjhk The prompts are open-ended and static, encouraging users to reflect on themselves rather than guiding them toward specific answers. The emphasis is on the user's own thoughts and insights—they do the work, while the app simply creates a space that encourages openness and self-reflection.
Congratulations on the launch! Love the privacy-first approach here. Once SelfAware notices a recurring mood or thought pattern, how does it present that insight without making the experience feel overly analytical or clinical?
@alieksia Thank you! We’ve taken this into consideration by using both tone of voice and UX to make the insights feel friendly and supportive rather than clinical or impersonal. They’re presented in a simple, approachable way, without overwhelming you with too much information.
I’d love to invite you to try it and share your thoughts. I’m curious to hear your feedback!
@c_sorin I'll give it a try and let you know
How does the mood tracking actually work day to day, do you pick from preset feelings or write your own, and is there any limit on how many check ins you can do on the free version?
@bulemgggg For your daily check-ins, you can choose from a set of predefined emotions with a simple tap. There’s no limit to how many check-ins you can make.
How does the end-to-end encryption actually work in practice, and is there any way to recover entries if I forget my password or lose access to my account?
@emirhan97tx The end-to-end encryption ensures that only you can access your data. Your information is stored in an encrypted form, and only you hold the key to decrypt it.
Please note that if you forget your password, your data cannot be recovered and will be permanently lost
The end-to-end encryption detail really sets this apart from most journaling apps I've tried. Combined with the gentle daily check-ins, it feels like the team actually thought about both the emotional and practical sides of self-reflection.
@sabriboruc9hqs Thank you for the feedback. Privacy is one of the main pillars of the app, and I want it to be simple to use while bringing real value to people’s lives.
If you find value in it, I’d really appreciate it if you could spread the word, so it can reach the people who would benefit from it most.
Thank you!
What stood out to me is that you're positioning reflection as a way to discover patterns instead of just logging feelings.
I'm curious—have you found that people keep coming back because of the journaling habit itself, or because they start uncovering emotional patterns they genuinely didn't notice before?
