Cristian Tabacitu
Hey there - Tabacitu, founder of Recurrr here 👋 Fun fact, this isn't the first time I built a product to solve this problem. In 2017 I built schedulethatemail.com - which died because it was Gmail-only, and they asked for a costly audit to keep using their API. I've re-written it from the ground up, made it work with any email provider... and I'm so happy I did. I can now send recurring emails again. Pfiew! I genuinely believe sending recurring emails is a GREAT idea. And I'm doing that myself, doing it since 2017. But I'm having a lot of trouble understanding why more people aren't doing this... Why it has never caught on as a productivity hack / technique. So if you try it out... or just look at the website... please let me know what you think, I'd love to hear what you think!

@tabacitu Hi Cristian, Love the backstory and persistence behind Recurrr! Automating recurring emails definitely seems like a productivity booster. Here are some thoughts and how I can help: - Providing clear examples and templates for common recurring email use cases (e.g., weekly team updates, monthly reports) could help users get started quickly. - Would Recurrr consider integrating with popular project management or CRM tools for streamlined workflow automation? As a developer, I'm interested in the technical aspects behind scheduling and sending recurring emails across different providers. If those align with my expertise (e.g., email APIs, workflow automation), I might be able to contribute to future integrations. Overall, Recurrr seems like a useful tool for automating repetitive email tasks. Providing use case examples and exploring integrations with other tools could enhance its value. I'd be interested to see how Recurrr evolves and potentially contribute to future development!
@tabacitu Brilliant execution! I’m thoroughly impressed.

Congratulations on the launch! Are there any automations available? For example, I don't want to send a new email if we're already talking in another email thread.
Cristian Tabacitu
@semanser great question! No automations at the moment, no - only barebones functionality to get started. Cool thing: we discovered that _a lot_ of automations can actually be avoided with one simple feature we're prioritizing - sending you a brief of all emails that will be sent. For example, on Sunday, get a list of all emails that will be sent. If you want to skip one, just click "Skip". Wouldn't that cover your need too?

Excellent job Cristian! Recurring emails is actually one of the hardest task for founders and you're helping enough with Recurr. Loving the proposal of a flat fee and even more, a free trial with no credit card required. Wish you all the best here. Really congrats!
Cristian Tabacitu
@german_merlo1 I agree - staying consistent and focused definitely is one of the more difficult things we have to do as founders. Automating those business habits... certainly helps! I can vouch for it, been doing it for 7-8 years 😉 Thanks for kind words German! 🙏
Fabian Lindner
@german_merlo1 Totally agree!

Hi @tabacitu! Recurrr sounds like a fantastic solution for handling those repetitive emails that eat up our precious time. 😄 Automating recurring emails will definitely boost productivity and streamline workflows. Can't wait to try it out! How did you manage to make it compatible with all email providers this time? 😍
Cristian Tabacitu
@abhra_ch thank you so much. Good question - we actually use the SMTP protocol, which ALL email providers use under the hood. Yes, it makes it a little cumbersome to set up at first (3 min max), but then we can send emails on your behalf: - nobody will be able to tell you didn't send them manually; - your email will have the exact same deliverability as a manual email (doesn't go to spam); It's a tradeoff for sure, so we're looking for feedback on it.
Adrian Weber
@tabacitu I think it's a tradeoff that is gonna work in your benefit in future. Good luck 😁

Hi Cristian, How does Recurrr handle different email providers and potential spam filters? Are there any analytics or reporting features to track the effectiveness of the sent emails? Congrats on the launch!
Cristian Tabacitu
@kyrylosilin awesome questions: 1. Nobody can tell an email was sent from Recurrr and not manually by you. So the same spam filters apply. We have NEVER had a problem getting into spam until now. That's because we only send using the SMTP protocol at the moment. While this makes the setup a bit more difficult than we'd like for most people, it does ensure the EXACT same deliverability of your regular email address. 2. We don't have any analytics at the moment (we kept it simple), but a tracking pixel is a good idea imho - I've just added it to our roadmap - https://recurrr.canny.io/feedbac... Thanks!
