Nudge helps you stop impulse spending by adding friction to the apps and websites where you tend to overspend. No more saying “I deserve this” followed by regret. When it matters most, Nudge steps in with a short pause — giving you time to think before spending. Built for people who want to take back control of their money, without feeling restricted.

Nudge
Hey Product Hunt,
This is Hakeem. I worked on Nudge with Zahir.
We’re both really passionate about helping people stop impulse spending, as we’ve dealt with it ourselves (I buy way too many clothes from uniqlo I only wear once 😭) and after chats with 52+ people struggling with the same issue.
We really hope you like what we’ve built, would love to get your feedback.
Launch is planned very soon, currently awaiting apps store review. If you’d like access, sign up via www.nudgesavings.com
Blocking the “money-drain” apps/sites at the moment of weakness is the right behavioral lever. The scale pain is enforcement + false positives (users just uninstall/disable), and best practice is iOS Screen Time/FamilyControls + ManagedSettings shields with scheduled budgets, plus a “friction ladder” (cooldown, require a reason, delayed unlock) and local-only analytics. Are you using FamilyControls/ManagedSettings under the hood, and will you add category-level budgets (food delivery vs shopping) with opt-in bank/Apple Pay signals later?
@ryan_thill hi Ryan! Our existing app does let users set category budgets. Our plan is to make it more automated rather than slightly manual which is what it is right now, this + opt in bank/Apple Pay signals are
in our product roadmap. Next steps are to fully launch our existing version, get feedback, and add on the features you mentioned while refining the app.
@zahir_hassan Love that — category budgets are already the hard 80/20, and making it “less manual” with opt-in bank/Apple Pay signals is exactly where the experience gets sticky (but the moat gets deeper). Curious how you’re thinking about automation: rules-based classification (MCC/merchant mapping) first, or an on-device/LLM assist with user confirmations + audit log?
If you ever want to sanity-check the data model + guardrails for false positives, we’ve built similar “nudge” flows at scale and happy to compare notes.

@ryan_thill Hey Ryan, thanks for your comment! Under the hood, we are using the Screen Time/Family Controls framework. Currently, how it works is that there is a short delay before the user can continue to the app.
Hey Product Hunt fam!
Nudge is a product that we created because at one point I was spending hundreds of dollars I didn't have (often with Afterpay) on food that I didn't even need or want via DoorDash, all in the name of convenience.
Nudge is a way to remedy that, and it's a product that the 50+ people we've talked to have said might be beneficial for them. We're currently fully bootstrapped. :)
We would love to get your feedback on what you think about our product!
Launching very soon, (currently stuck under app store review.) If you'd like acccess feel free to sign up via
