Most product demos are a 40MB video nobody finishes or a $500/mo tool no bootstrapper can justify. Mirage is the third option: capture your real app in one click, add guided hotspots, and publish a clickable demo you can embed anywhere in ~90 seconds. Track views, completions, and per step drop-off so you fix the leak instead of guessing. Perfect for landing pages, PH launches, and onboarding emails. First demo is free forever.

@harshsurela No interruption at all, really appreciate you recording a full journey and putting it through its paces. Thanks for flagging the disappearing capture too. You caught us mid-upgrade on the editor panel, so that was almost certainly the cause, not anything you did. I'm on it. Really glad the rest felt flexible and easy, thanks for giving it a real shot :)
Great idea! And perfect timing to me personally. I've been struggling to create an actual demo that explains well enough, and keeps audience attention long enough to show how my SaaS works at its best. This sounds like exactly what I would need. I'll be happy to give this a go after the answers to the previous questions in the comments are answered.

@satchmo_saunders Thanks, that means a lot! Keeping attention long enough to show the good part is exactly the problem I built this for. I've been answering the other questions in the thread, so take a peek. And whenever you're ready, the first demo's free forever, so no risk in trying it on your SaaS. Would love to hear how it goes.
Already had my previous comment chain, but wanted to post a final comment as a separate submission.
Tool works well.
For me, the most important thing is that team behind the tool is extremely responsive and supportive.
They took care of all the issues I had in 24 hours and helped me through A to Z to get my demo up and running very quickly.
Thank you guys.
Definite recommendation from me.

@archie_m Thanks so much, Archie!
Really appreciate you giving Mirage a try and for taking the time to leave another comment. Your feedback helped us improve the product, and we're glad we could get everything sorted quickly. Thanks again for the recommendation. It truly means a lot!
Hello
Idea is great, but the platform seems to have a lot of bugs.
I understand AI development speeds up the process, but unfinished or untested features is a turn off.
1) I clicked on Try pro for 3 days - it let me go through the checkout, I thought it would charge me after 3 days, but instead it charged me right away.
2) When I try to record the steps, extension claims Im still on the free plan. I get this error when I click on export to mirage after I finish the recording:
"You've hit your demo limit
The free plan holds a limited number of demos. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited demos — your capture is safe, just send it again after upgrading."
I tried it several times already.
3) There is no contact or support page on the website.
I used the "Feedback" feature from the Dashboard / Studio, but Im not sure that it actually works and sends an email, so Im posting this here as well : ))
Please help.
Update
Got a response from support in email like 10 minutes after I submitted my support request.
Testing their suggested solution now, hope it fixes the issue.
I will update my comment here as well.
Response speed from support team does get an A+

@archie_m Any updates?
@anukarop Yes, clearing cache worked.
I found another issue, extension doesnt always record all the steps.
For example, I had 7 page loads / 7 steps.
I tried it twice and both times in only recorded either 2 steps, or 4 steps.
So what I did finally was, record each step individually and export as JSON, and working on it to combine it all together in one demo manually now.
Not a dealbraker for what I want to do, since I was able to record steps individually, but would be nice to have it fixed / stable.
Thanks for the quick response. Appreciate it.

@archie_m Hey Archie! We've Fixed it and just went live on the Chrome Web Store; the recorder now re-attaches on every page load, so multi-page flows capture all your steps (also squashed a click race that was dropping some). It'll auto-update for you in a few minutes.
Really appreciate you flagging it, early bug reports like yours are gold :)
Again thanks!
Finally, a realistic option for bootstrapped teams. The pricing barrier for interactive demo software has been absurdly high for a long time, forcing small teams to rely on boring Loom videos that drop engagement. Keeping the first demo free forever is a great move. Looking forward to testing this on our next landing page build!
Mirage
@rakhi_jha2 Thanks, that means a lot! That's exactly the gap we wanted to close. Would love to hear how it goes on your landing page.
Interesting
Mirage
@madalina_barbu Thanks! The first demo's free forever, no card needed, so give it a spin and tell me what you think. Curious what you'd build with it.
