A few people have asked how Mira actually works in practice, so wanted to write this up.
The full flow from start to finish:
1. Set up your study (5 minutes)
Choose a template Customer Discovery, Concept Testing, UX, Brand Perception, NPS follow-up, and more. Or build your own discussion guide. Mira generates contextual follow-up questions automatically, so you do not need to script every question.
2. Recruit participants (built in)
Access 100M+ participants across 120 countries directly from the platform. Set demographic filters, screener questions, and Mira handles recruitment. No third-party panel needed.
3. Run the AI moderated interview
Participants join via link no app download. Mira moderates the conversation, asks follow-up questions intelligently, and reads facial expressions, voice emotion, and eye gaze in real time during the session. Works on a standard webcam.
4. Get your report (minutes, not days)
Automatic transcript with speaker separation. AI themes, tags, summaries, and key quotes extracted automatically. Emotional signal overlaid on each moment. Full research report generated executive summary, findings, evidence, recommendations.
5. Share and store
AI highlight reels for stakeholders no one watches 40-minute recordings. Everything stored in a searchable research repository. Cross-study intelligence lets you compare findings across multiple projects over time.
The part most people ask about:
The emotional layer runs during the interview not after. So when a participant says "I like it" but their face shows hesitation, Mira catches it and probes deeper in the same conversation. That is the core difference from transcript-only tools.

What type of research are you running? Happy to walk through how Mira would work for your specific use case.

One thing that always fascinated me about qualitative research: researchers don't just analyze what people say. They spend hours replaying interviews to understand how they said it.
A micro-expression of disgust at the pricing slide, a long pause before "I'd probably use it," hands that stopped moving the moment they said they were "comfortable."
That's the invisible layer of qual research. The part that turns a quote into an actual insight.
Mira is built around that gap, it conducts interviews in 75+ languages, probes emotionally in real time, and simultaneously captures vocal hesitation, facial emotion, and where attention went. So researchers stop losing those moments to memory and manual replay.
The goal isn't to replace researchers.
It's to give them superpowers, so they can spend more time discovering why people behave the way they do, instead of manually reviewing hours of recordings.
Happy to answer any questions about how any of this works.
How do i verify the accuracy of Facial coding and eye tracking?
Mira
@jitender_pankaj1 Our algorithms are trained and validated with millions of data points we collected over the years with our in house data collection and tagging platform. We ensure each tag has high inter rater reliability before accepting it in our dataset. Our eye tracking algorithms are frequently tested against the data from a physical eye trackers.
How does the pricing actually scale for smaller teams or solo researchers who don't need the full enterprise setup, and is there any way to try it before committing?
Mira
@barwcts The best starting point is the free study, no commitment, no credit card. Mention PH when you book: Book a Demo: See Entropik Decode in Action
For pricing beyond that, it scales based on study volume which can be purchased in smaller blocks. Happy to walk through what makes sense for your setup. Drop a note or book a quick call.
Does it self-report confidence?
Mira
@paige_lauren1 Yes we can report confidence as well which is majorly driven by tonality followed by facial and textual signals.
Mira
@paige_lauren1 To add to Sumit's answer; in practice this means when a participant sounds uncertain but their transcript reads neutrally, the system surfaces that discrepancy and flags it rather than averaging it away.
The confidence score tells you how much weight to put on any individual emotional data point before drawing a conclusion.

The conversation I have most with research and insights teams: "Our studies take too long, and leadership does not trust the findings."
Both problems have the same root cause. The tools being used only capture what people say, and analysis is manual. A 20-participant qual study typically takes 6-8 weeks from setup to report, arriving too late to influence the decision it was commissioned to support.
Mira compresses that timeline. Study setup with templates takes minutes. Recruitment from a 100M+ global panel is built in. Transcripts, themes, and reports are generated automatically. Emotional signal adds defensibility to findings.
If you run an insights function and want to understand what this looks like for your team's specific workflow, feel free to ask below.
The facial coding combined with voice emotion analysis during a test interview genuinely caught moments I would have missed in a regular transcript. Feels closer to sitting with a respondent than a typical AI research tool.
Mira
@srammoa "Closer to sitting with a respondent" is one of the best ways I have heard it described. The transcript tells you what they said. Mira tries to preserve what was happening underneath that. Thank you for testing it.
the facial coding detail is wild, never seen a research tool that actually picks up on what people are feeling while answering. ran a quick test on our team and the voice emotion layer caught hesitation I would have totally missed in a normal transcript.
Mira
@nihalzsaki243g The hesitation catch is where the voice layer earns its place; that pause before the polished answer is usually the most honest moment in the whole session. Glad it surfaced. If you want to run a structured study, the first one is free this month. Please feel free to book a demo at https://www.entropik.io/platform/ai-moderator and mention PH20 on the call :)
