Hey Product Hunt 👋 For the last 10 days I’ve basically been obsessed with building MakerMap. It started with a simple thought: The people building the future are everywhere. They’re launching products, sharing ideas, meeting people and creating things every day. But there was never really a way to see that world. So I wanted to map it. MakerMap now has 4,000+ makers and products you can explore around the world. You can search things like: → “AI founders in Lisbon” → “Twitter tools” → “gym bros in Lisbon” → “designers building iOS apps” Every maker also gets a living profile showing what they’re building, where they are, their posts, activity, growth and more. But my favorite thing so far isn’t actually a feature. People have already started finding each other through MakerMap and arranging to meet IRL. That’s exactly what I hoped would happen. MakerMap might genuinely be the coolest project I’ve ever built for fun. I’ve poured an absurd amount of craft and creativity into every little interaction, animation and detail. The IRL meetups are the best proof this works. Searching by what someone is building says far more than a job title does at the early stage. How do you keep a profile current when a maker pivots or quietly shelves a product? Is it pulled from their posts, or do they update it themselves?
