Honey Mittal
Hey hunters & fellow Builders 👋 I’m Honey Mittal, co-founder of Locofy.ai, alongside @msohaib. Four years ago, we embarked on a journey to tackle one of the biggest challenges in product development: converting designs into code. The lack of speed, rising costs for good developers, and constant miscommunication is something we have personally experienced over a decade of building together. So, we conceptualized Locofy.ai with the mission of accelerating and democratizing frontend development by effortlessly converting designs to code. Back in 2021, AI was still in its infancy — it wasn’t the force it is today. Now, as AI becomes more powerful than ever, we find ourselves not just riding the wave but shaping it. Our proprietary foundational Large Design Models (LDMs) have evolved, enabling design-to-code conversions in a flash and allowing developers to focus on complex problems instead of repetitive tasks. This early commitment to AI has uniquely positioned us as a leading tool in the industry. Since launching Locofy, over 500,000 developers, designers, and builders across 190+ countries have joined us, converting more than 5 million screens into high-quality frontend code. We’re beyond grateful for the invaluable feedback from our beta community over the past 4 years, and today, we’re thrilled to share with the Product Hunt community that Locofy.ai is out of beta! 🎉 Here’s what’s new: 💸 Flexible Pricing Plans: From pay-as-you-go to custom enterprise plans, we’ve got something for everyone – select any plan and get the first 1,000 LDMtokens free. We have not forgotten the Product Hunt community! Scroll to the bottom for an exclusive discount coupon 😻 🔄 Import Custom Components: Build faster by connecting your component library with Locofy. We reuse your existing code and respect any pre-defined properties. 🎨 Figma to Angular: Locofy now supports converting your Figma designs to Angular. Stay tuned for even more frameworks in the coming months. 🤝 Support for Figma Variants: Locofy now fully supports Figma variants, respecting all pre-defined variant, text, and boolean properties. 👨‍💻 Inspect mode: Developers can now directly edit CSS code. 🔐 On-premise and private cloud deployments: Now available for larger enterprises to get that ultimate security of deploying Locofy in your own environment. 📝 Large Design Models Whitepaper: Learn how and why we built our own foundational models. 🤩 Major UI/UX improvements: Making it much easier to preview your code and make any changes to our AI’s decisions. We’re making it easier than ever to go from design to developer-friendly frontend code — all while maintaining the highest quality. Thanks for helping us reach another massive milestone, we’re super excited to continue building the future of AI-powered frontend development together. And of course, we've got an exclusive promo code just for our Product Hunt supporters. Use "MEOW20" to get 20% off any of our annual plans, this will only be valid for the rest of November! Cheers, Honey Mittal (on behalf of Team Locofy.ai)

@honeymittal Congrats on the launch! Seems like a killer product specifically for the niche you're in! I am curious - 500k devs sounds like a lot to get on board. How did you first make them aware of the value add of the product and are those 500k all paid users? Pretty neat to get that type of mass adoption and I'd love to hear more about how you were able to hit that scale.
Tobias Kromke
Hey @dzaitzow Thank you for the congratulations and your interest in our journey! We did a lot of things right, including our Product Hunt launch, but one key aspect was our free beta program. This allowed us to gather high-quality customer feedback, which we used to prioritize our product roadmap. Although not all 500k devs are paid users yet, our main focus was on developing a product that provides real value. By listening to our beta users and continuously improving based on their feedback, we were able to achieve significant adoption and build a strong community. Thanks again for your support!

@tkromke Are there specific things you did "right" on launch day? Very interesting strategy growing a free beta program.. If you don't mind me asking - did that take you farther away from profitability than you'd first hoped? haha
Tobias Kromke
There are many things we did, so breaking it down to one thing only is of course not so easy @dzaitzow, but if you ask me to name 1 thing that I think was important I would say communicate the switch from free to paid early. Let the user know in advance that your free beta is going to end. You don't want the user to be in a situation where he suddenly can not use your tool anymore without paying. Regarding the profitability question: it is hard to answer because we don't know what the alternatives would have been. We can only make assumptions if monetising earlier or later would have been better. Seeing a lot of customers converting from free to paid and growing new customers at the same time shows us though that our decisions were right.
Honey Mittal
@dzaitzow thanks Daniel, we ran a free beta program for 3 years and only recently came out of beta with our paid plans (2 months only). We were lucky to get initial users from word of mouth (i guess the problem we're solving is a really painful one), product hunt, and developer communities.

Amazing. Figma variants was a long awaited feature, glad to see it live!
Tobias Kromke
Hey @anurag_k1, Glad to hear that you like it!

Been using locofy product intermittently for more than two years, and it is really pioneering in this design to code space! Congratulations on the new launch!
Cam Pak
Congrats on launch. Proud of you guys! Locofy is a game changer
Tobias Kromke
Hey @campak, thanks a lot! Happy to hear that you are enjoying Locofy.
Huzaifa Shoukat
Congrats on the launch! Locofy Pro sounds awesome. How does it handle complex layouts and animations?
Tobias Kromke
Hey @ihuzaifashoukat thanks a lot. It really depends on the complexity of your layout. We have some best practices that we are sharing in our docs. At the end of the day it really comes down to your individual design though. Therefore I would suggest that you go ahead and give it a try. You can sign up for Pay-As-You-Go at no costs and enjoy 1,000 free LDMtoken to give it a try! Let me know how you like it, Tobi

Congrats on your launch, team Locofy. Looking at the name, I initially thought it was a logo creation tool, but it turns out it's even cooler than that!
Abhishek Mishra
Thanks for the kind words, @bonvisions! Give it a shot and let us know about your experience.
Raymond Panganiban
@bonvisions Thanks a lot! Let me know once you've tried it out.
