How long do you keep conversation history?
@boyso Conversation history stays in your inbox, and there’s no fixed expiration period at the moment, so you can go back and review previous chats anytime.
So,can I put a booking link beside the chat for paid calls??
@tomzoe Yes! You can add a booking link alongside live chat. Just link to a booking page that supports paid calls, and visitors can schedule and pay there :)
What does a visitor need to enter before sending the first message?
@jackruirui By default, nothing! Visitors can just open the chat and start typing, no signup needed. If you want, you can also enable a pre-chat form to collect details like name, email, phone number, or a message.
A bit on why we built Knocket.
For early teams, the hardest part of getting users usually isn't traffic. It's the moment someone finally cares about what you're building and can't find an easy way to reach you. That's where you lose them.
So: one line of code, and your site has a contact page — live chat, a contact form, social links, every message landing in one inbox.
Think of it as a personal page that answers back. The idea is simple: when a potential user shows up, let the conversation happen right there.
Can the Contact Page use a custom domain?
@mi_leeli Custom domains aren’t supported at the moment, but you can personalize your Knocket page link with your name or brand.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Mia, the product lead at Knocket..
The idea came from a problem we kept running into while working on trtc.io, our platform for building real-time voice and video experiences: getting someone interested was hard enough. Losing the conversation after they reached out was even more frustrating.
Someone asks a question. The reply comes too late. By the time you get back to them, they’ve moved on.
We built Knocket to help makers and small teams keep those conversations going, without adding more work to an already busy day. It gives visitors a simple way to reach you, brings conversations into one inbox, and lets AI handle routine questions with a handoff to your team when needed.
As the product lead, I’d especially love to learn where this breaks down in your business. Is it noticing a new inquiry, answering quickly, or following up afterward?
Try Knocket and tell us what feels useful, what feels clunky, and what’s missing. Your feedback will help us decide what to build next.
Thanks for checking us out. We’ll be here in the comments! 🙌
Hey PH! I'm Xu, maker of Knocket. 👋
It started with a problem every early team knows too well: getting users is hard, and often the hardest part isn't traffic — it's that when someone finally shows interest, there's no easy way for them to actually reach you. You lose them in that moment.
So we built Knocket. One line of code (or a hosted page, zero code) gives your site a contact entry with live chat, a contact form, and quick links to your socials — all messages land in one inbox.
Think of it as a personal homepage that talks back, or lightweight live support for products that don't need a helpdesk yet. That's the whole idea: when a potential user shows up, let the conversation happen.
If you're an early-stage team working on your first 100 users, I'd love your feedback — I'll reply to every comment. 🙏
