it's unclear if this is AI or real people; it says 100% US based, but 24-7 coverage, so do they just have a load of people working crazy hours or something?

@kunaalarya yeah - that still doesn't clear it up for me though. When are you speaking to a human, when are you speaking to a human? Does 24-7 coverage mean you can just interact with an AI 24-7 and the tasks will get completed when the human wakes up? etc

@kunaalarya if we're always talking to a human, and they're based in the US, that'd mean that they're awake at 4am on Christmas eve. that's what's unclear

@mikeknoop I tried to post that one to PH but it got hidden away - not sure why. It's in the current class of YC from what I can tell. Maybe some YC pressure to help protect those in the current class from undue public exposure?
@sanjay I apologize for not following up with you over email, Sanjay. Shortly after you hunted Clara, the founders reached out asking to hide the post as they weren't ready for the exposure. We occasionally receive these requests and will accommodate if the original post didn't get much attention before we have time to hide. Clara was submitted ~9pm on a Friday night and received very little attention.
We're still trying to find the right balance between respecting founders and empowering the community.

With no info I went straight conspiracy theory on the whole thing given the YC connection. :-) Totally understand them not wanting to get attention yet although if that's the case, a no info website would have been the way to go (since they had a site with pricing on it). Ah well, to each his own. Thanks for the scoop.

So far my experience with Jarvis has been great. I've texted them a bunch of ideas I'd lke to see implemented though.
I really would like to see an automated machine learning system for the price I'm paying. I envision the system detecting certain phrases like "set up a call" or "when are you available?" and taking the action to follow up and set the appointment.
I think there's also a need for a group plan where i can provision say 5-6 phone numbers which are allowed to use my enterprise plan. This service would thrive in a small business that can't afford a secretary to do simple tasks like set up calls and order food.
So far the only issue I've hit is the time gap. Certain tasks require immediate attention or the purpose of dolling out the task becomes pointless. For instance if I need a call scheduled and it takes 8 hours to complete that task then I might as well do the scheduling myself.
Overall cool service, haven't decided if I'll keep it just yet. Trying it out has been a blast though.
The $100/mo plan includes "unlimited 15 minute tasks" (this excludes reading and summarizing a book, for example). This might be more expensive than services like Fancy Hands (they offer 25 tasks/mo for $65) but the unlimited aspect of Jarvis is nice. I don't use any of these services, although maybe I should, but I know I'll hesitate to outsource a 5 minute task when I feel like I'm using credits/"paying" for it.

I used Zirtual for awhile, but found the next-day turnaround time to be problematic. It seems like Jarvis might be better suited for quick immediate tasks (like restro reservations, flight bookings, or help managing your Inbox) while Zirtual's great if you need on-going support for more complex tasks (like sales prospecting or Internet research).

@BlendahTom I was thinking the same thing. If/when I find the time, I'll share some more thoughts on "invisible" products. It's a interesting design decision -- has its pros and cons.
