It's so incredible to see the story that @manjunath_m1 and @hakhil_nizeem l shared. I've been focused on the market research, case studies, and shaping the implementation lifecycle for our open-source version, so seeing this finally launch is a huge moment.
For me, the commitment to being open-source is the most important part of this. We're not just building a product; we're building a community and a platform that anyone can shape.

With articles like Klarna rolling back AI voice agents because "customers like talking to people". I'm curious on what kind of feedback the Intervo team has received with respect to the AI voice agents used for customer support?

@lienchueh That's a fantastic question, and thank you for bringing it up. The Klarna news is super interesting and I wasn't aware of it.
To be honest, I don't believe AI should replace all human interaction, but it should eliminate friction. It's about using the right tool for the job.
For transactional tasks, like processing a refund, checking an order status, or confirming a booking, many customers prefer the speed and 24/7 availability of an AI agent. They just want to get it done, and our goal is to make that instant and effortless.
For complex, emotional, or nuanced issues, nothing beats talking to a person. Our goal is to free up human agents from the repetitive tasks so they can focus on these higher-value conversations where they're needed most.
Also the line between what sounds "AI" and what sounds "human" is blurring fast. The goal isn't to trick anyone, but to make the experience so smooth and natural that it isn't jarring.

@amarnath_b I tried generating a bot quickly and it my attention kind of fell off when I had to set business name and train it a little. It would have helped if I could have just started by pointing it at my website and then the website could serve as the initial training data.

Hey@kevin_mcdonagh1 , great suggestion! We actually have that feature built in.
Just head to the 'Knowledge' tab and select 'Website' to train the agent with your URL. It should be much faster!
I've attached a screenshot to show you exactly where it is. Let us know if that works better for you!

@preksha_shah2 Hey Preksha, thank you! We've added a background noise cancellation middleware that should isolate the noises to an extent. Also, we use certain with speech-to-text that also filters out the background noises. we've tested it in office-like noisy environments, we've had good results.
Regarding the internal AI agent for onboarding, this is something which we started with actually. It had too many pieces which we had to build in one go, so we pivoted to conversational AI.

Hi Team, Firstly it's a great innovation guys. Keep up the good work. I'm a test engineer for a large furniture retailer based in USA, and we handle thousands of customer inquiries daily. The open-source nature is very appealing for a large-scale deployment. My main question is about multilingual support, (specifically for Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese,Filipino), does the chat/voice synthesis and data ingestion handle different languages? Also, any benchmarks on performance under high concurrency? Looks very promising product.

@krishnadas_chandran Hey Krishnadas! Right now, we have support only for English. We just wanted to make it perfect on one language, before we scale to others. This is possible tho, and is on our immediate pipeline. And apart from being open-source, also working on a self-hosting version where we can provide the maintenance and updates while the whole thing runs on-premise.
We don't have any benchmarks yet, but we've optimizing it for performance! Will ask my team to create some benchmarks and see how it fares with the competition.

You've hit on the exact problem we wanted to solve. To handle those tricky, nuanced questions, we designed Intervo to learn directly from your own business info. So when a customer asks something specific like, "What's your refund policy on sale items bought with a gift card?", it gives a genuinely accurate answer because it's using your actual policy docs.
Our ultimate goal is for Intervo to become a true AI teammate that handles the repetitive, day to day stuff. We're always fine-tuning it, teaching it new skills so it can move beyond just answering questions and actually start doing things for you.
