my friends and I have been talking about a product like this for some time now and its cool to see someone working on this! would you say that it is specifically designed for corporate learning or something that could be extended to desk-less workers as well?
Honen
@hersh_singh Appreciate it! It's designed for all types of learning! We've actually been exploring a lot of work in the trades and non-desk roles specifically (such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical etc.) and building out courses that can help specifically with learners in those fields.
We're trying to make this as general a platform as possible and hit as many fields as possible.
@hersh_singh @ryan_trattner You are also able to make edits after the course is created, simply go into the course editor and there is a place to drag and drop different materials.
Honen
@hersh_singh @ryan_trattner It's also worth noting that the platform can also go external. A company can stand up a public-facing academy and put courses and certifications in front of customers, partners, or the general public, not just employees.
It extends into education too. Our NVIDIA partnership is bringing AI literacy training to 250,000 high school students, and the same model works for universities and broader student populations.
So it spans desk and deskless, internal and external, workforce, and student learning. The common thread is any group of people who need to learn something that keeps changing, whether that's your own team, your customers, the public, or students.
@ryan_trattner Thanks for sharing what you've been building!
As others have previously indicated, the auto-updating aspect of the @Honen system is a notably attractive feature. Since human reviewers will necessarily approve updates before deployment, I'm curious about the process for review. How will the proposed changes be marked for the reviewer? How will the reviewer approve/deny a given change?
Honen
@underuncertainty Thanks! Every course has revisions that are visible in a "Draft" mode for instructors, so they can go through exactly what the learners see and ask to make any changes if needed, then you can choose to roll it out to learners.
The live client meeting simulation is a standout feature 🙌
what criteria is the AI actually grading on? Is it customizable per company or is it a fixed rubric?
Honen
@boyuan_deng1 The grading isn't a fixed, one-size-fits-all rubric. The whole Honen model is that everything runs off your company's own knowledge base, so the criteria reflect what your org actually cares about in a client meeting, not a generic script. Same source of truth that powers your courses and agents feeds what "good" looks like in the simulation, so it stays consistent with how you actually train your team.
@boyuan_deng1 @esan_durrani Also important to note, the AI tutor that is part of every course is based on the course but also access to material based in your knowledge base.

Congratulations on the launch team 🙌
The parallel training concept is genuinely interesting
quick Q, how does the MCP integration work in practice? Do the agents pull from it dynamically, or is it a one-time sync?
Honen
@abod_rehman Good question! It's dynamic, not a one-time sync. The Knowledge Base is the single source of truth, and the MCP server exposes it to the agents as live read/write tools. So when an agent acts, it's reading the current state of your company at that moment, and will not be outdated.
That's really the whole premise behind parallel training: you put knowledge in once, and it feeds both sides. Humans through courses, agents through Skills in MCP, all from the same source.
Linked external sources stay updated on their own too, google drive, for example, re-syncs every minute, so changes upstream land in the base immediately.
This is insane!
I saw an article talking about your partnership with NVIDIA, so it's awesome to see your launch here!
I do have a question. How does Honen run live scenarios? Am I speaking with an AI or a real person?
Congrats on the launch! Look forward to checking out Honen.
Honen
@nicktb Thanks Nick! And great question.
For the live scenarios, you're speaking with AI. The scenarios are generated from the company's knowledge and training objectives, so instead of practicing against the typical chatbot, you're practicing against a roleplay that's specific to your organization, products, and processes.
The goal is to give people a safe place to learn by doing before they're in the real situation.
Honen
@nicktb @esan_durrani
Also, its more than just a chatbot, you can talk in real time in Honen live scenarios. We're working on making live scenarios even more immersive and realistic so that they surpass live role plays.
How does Honen detect that a process or doc has changed is it watching the source files in real time or does someone on the team manually trigger a course update?
Honen
@alexander_gray3 The knowledgebase syncs with your external sources e.g. google drive every minute. We then run jobs on a specific interval with our radar feature to track if the sources (externally on the web, or internally in your knowledgebase) contain updated information. Every time it suggests a change its a revision you can check out, edit, and approve.
Curious how the simulations work under the hood are these branching scenarios built by the AI from existing docs or does a course creator define the decision trees and the AI fills in the content?
Honen
@amna9 Both can happen! You can direct if you want the AI to just handle it for you and decide what goes in the scenario / rubric to grade or can define them yourself. Whats cool is you an also set static decision trees, or let the AI in the scenarios decide what path to take the learner on
Honen
@amna9 @ryan_trattner
The best part is that the scenarios are highly dynamic and can roll with what a learner is throwing at it but will work to get you back on the path gently if you start verging off too far.
