Stephen, this tool looks like it has potential for guitar players who want to dive deep, though I'm not sure about the browser-based aspect and how reliable it would be for everyone, the subscription mentioned, what exactly do users get more than the free version does it really add value or just a way to get money from user 🤔 I'd like to see more transparency on that part, best of luck!

Stephen, I’m curious about how useful this really is for advanced players, I mean 11,000+ patterns sounds a bit overkill and might overwhelm newbies, also what happens if the database access is down, kinda risky for a subscription model don't you think.

@artlawtraveler It's a reference site much like Wikipedia, there's a lot of content, but you don't need to use it all. Just like with Wikipedia, you don't have to read all the articles - only what's useful. As for saying the database being down, the database is for saving user preferences, progress etc. and doesn't stop people accessing public content (ie. All the pages). "Kinda risky" is a strange comment as the same risk applies to any websites with database access.

Found this guitar tool from an ad, there are already so many like GuitarTricks and JamPlay with more features and better user interface, it's confusing why we need another one, plus 11,000+ patterns sounds overwhelming rather than useful

GuitarTricks and JamPlay provide paid video lessons, FretMap is a free interactive fretboard displaying patterns people can learn and play along with. How that helps in clarifying the difference. Wikipedia has a lot of articles, I'd say that's a positive and not a negative.
