Reviewers mostly see Fina as a flexible, spreadsheet replacement that makes personal and mixed personal-business finances easier to track. They repeatedly praise the simple, intuitive UI, customizable dashboards and templates, helpful transaction categorization, and the ability to ask plain-language questions instead of digging through data. Several say it surfaces spending patterns clearly and reduces the stress of manual tracking. Weak spots are narrower: some early bugs, dependence on Plaid for data connections, requests for more import options and shared-finance features, and one founder noting that page-level quick actions could be better organized.
quickbooks has TERRIBLE reporting. Plus for small business owners, often times their personal finances are heavily intertwined with their business finances. Bringing them all into one unified system is the best way to get a handle on your money as a small business owner!
Shawn, keeping separate business profiles alongside personal finances makes sense for a founder with more than one project. Nice to see the ledger and reports fit into that existing setup. Congrats on Fina Business!
@oleksii_sekundant Thanks for your wishes! Yeah, keep entity separate in tracking, but still having chance to report together is the correct design for most founders.
This is great, Shawn. Would love to put it in front of my founders.
@tmaleh_ Awesome, thank you so much!
Congrats on the 4th launch and the #4 spot yesterday. Coming back with a new product each time shows the team keeps listening...
Founders will happily spend hours figuring out their next growth channel and then avoid looking at their books for three weeks 😂 Making finance less of a headache is a genuinely useful problem to work on. congrats on the launch!
Love the simplicity of the spreadsheet/input-table F logo 👌 It's the little things.
i have issues with automated categorization making mistakes on ambiguous SaaS charges before. i sthere an easy bulk edit rule system to fix misclassifications?
@fatima_sarki Great question!
Yes, of course. AI categorization is first step in the categorization process for each transaction, followed by rule engines that match and set, lastly manual set and overwrite if there is any.
So you have full flexibility to ensure your transactions are correctly categorized using a stack of AI -> Rules -> Bulk Edit.
