Reviewers mostly see Fina as a flexible, spreadsheet replacement that makes personal and mixed personal-business finances easier to track. They repeatedly praise the simple, intuitive UI, customizable dashboards and templates, helpful transaction categorization, and the ability to ask plain-language questions instead of digging through data. Several say it surfaces spending patterns clearly and reduces the stress of manual tracking. Weak spots are narrower: some early bugs, dependence on Plaid for data connections, requests for more import options and shared-finance features, and one founder noting that page-level quick actions could be better organized.
How does the double entry accounting engine handle bank feed sync delays? is it real time or updated daily?
@joseph_collins2 It updates at least once a day by the system, definitely sync when you log in, and you have "sync" button to force syncing/updating anytime.
Congrats Shawn! The separate profiles for different businesses caught my eye, especially with bookkeeping and invoices in the same place. Can you share just one business profile with an accountant while keeping the others private?
@chrissylim Yes, we are building this feature per this item on our roadmap, :)

Basically, you should be able to specify the "profile" as scope for any guest invite to access your workspace!
Thanks Shawn! Yes, that’s what I was getting at. Each business needs to stay separate.
Can you manage the multiple businesses with separate profit and loss reports for each one , or are the reports combined ?
@farhan_nazir55 Good question, each business (per profile) has their own CoA, ledger, PL, balance reports.
Optionally, you can combine them in a Fina page if you want.
It's a real multi businesses solution, :)
Can founders build their own views for tracking runway and monthly expenses?
@amanj203 Absolutely, thanks for asking!
Fina Pages work like normal documents, within each doc, you can build your own customized blocks to track your own metrics, you can use formula to define them like the way you use in Spreadsheets. It is super flexible.
am super curious about data privacy here are financial accounts linked via plaid or a proprietary API integration?
Congrats on Fina Business, Shawn! Nice to be launching alongside you today. We're launching Benson too: https://www.producthunt.com/products/benson-2. Would appreciate a comment or some support if you've got time today. Hope the launch goes well!
