@oleg_sobolev congrats on the launch!
thanks a ton@nastassia_k , really appreciate you :)
@oleg_sobolev Half my day goes to checking LinkedIn and remembering who I was supposed to message, so this hit home. Congrats on the launch Oleg....
ha ha this is very relatable @mishaal_rashid :) we have agencies with one person managing up to 10 accounts, I can really speed things up!
thanks! :) you don't need a huge amount of material. a few examples of your writing and some context about you and your business are enough to start
you can ask our built-in assistant to set up your voice, or use your own agent if it already knows you. it can fill in your style, examples and talking points for you
there are two parts: how you write (tone, length, punctuation etc.) and what you write about (your ideas, opinions and expertise). comments and dms have separate settings, since you probably write differently in public and in private. for dms, you can also add a playbook for starting conversations and following up
then turn on auto-learn and edit the drafts as you go. it learns from your changes, and around 20 comments is a good starting point to get it close to your style
Nice! Are you able to tailor it so it has my language?
@sellac Thanks for the comment! Absolutely! Both your language and your way of writing :) It works in different languages, and you can give it a few examples so the comments and DMs sound like you, including your tone and wording. Me or my cofounder @dmitry_bergelson are happy to help set it up
p.s. we also work with agencies and have many partnership options: https://www.goextrovert.com/for-agencies
@dmitry_bergelson @oleg_sobolev Alright, thank you. I will take a deeper look on the product and also on the partnerships.
@dmitry_bergelson @sellac thank you August! please don't hesitate to ping us directly (just use a chat icon in the app!)
Hi all, congrats on the launch! Can you go into more detail about how the AI agent is trained on your writing style? I saw a comment below that it only takes a few examples. Are these examples you provide (and if so, what sort of examples work best)? Or does it parse your LinkedIn chat / post history for examples? And also, is there a way to give feedback to the AI agent in case it makes repeated mistakes?
Also, can you go into more detail about what you mean by "agent-in-the-loop" instead of human-in-the-loop in one of your comments below?
@sara_ford_goog thanks for taking the time to ask a question! :)
Yes, those can be examples you provide. Three or four real comments are a good starting point, plus a few messages that show how you start conversations and follow up.
The best examples are things you actually wrote: a short reply, a longer comment with an opinion, a question you'd naturally ask, etc
We separate how you write from what you write about. Your tone and examples cover the style; your background, talking points and sales playbook give AI the facts/POVs and useful things to say. Comments and DMs have separate settings, because most people write differently in public and one-to-one
You don't have to fill this all in manually. Our assistant, or your Claude/ChatGPT/any other agent, can help build your Voice from material you share: posts, past comments, messages, your website or sales docs.
For feedback, there are two useful routes:
With Auto-learn on, comments you edit and approve become new examples. So you can start with a few and build up as you work
For repeated mistakes, change the underlying instruction. You can tell the assistant 'Stop opening every message with a compliment' or 'Don't pitch in my first DM, open with a joke'. That saves you correcting the same thing every day.
'Agent-in-the-loop' is a pretty interesting trend we're seeing. Most of the workflows in Extrovert require review and approval (the app gives suggestions, you review). We noticed that many users don't review themselves anymore. Their agent of choice does it for them.
e.g. instead of opening Extrovert and checking every draft yourself, you can ask Claude or ChatGPT:
'Show me today's follow-ups. Review the conversations, improve the drafts in needed, and ask me before sending'
Or, once you trust it:
'Approve the comments you're confident about and bring me the ones you'd check'
Extrovert prepares the priorities and drafts. Your agent can review, edit and act on what you've allowed, while you keep the decisions you want to make yourself
I love where goextrovert is going with its new features of helping you focus on the right people to engage in conversations.
Goextrovert has been a core part of my approach as an AI adoption coach for aggressively human outreach and its helping me (an introvert) become a bit more extrovert online in linkedin, but in a good way, starting meaningful conversations with people that I might have useful insights for.
thanks so much @yuval_yeret1 ! Your feedback helps a TON to shape the product. We'll try our best to ship as much useful stuff as we can. Onwards! :)
how it learns my writing style and how many examples I need to share before the comments and DMs start sounding like me?
@bengeekly appreciate the question :)
it learns from the examples you give it and the edits you make along the way
a few comments and messages you've written are enough to start. pick ones that sound like your everyday writing, no need to prepare a big doc or something.
you can also tell it things like 'keep it short', 'all lowercase', 'no emojis' etc
we keep comments and dms separate, so you can be more opinionated in public and more casual one-to-one. alongside the style, you can add your talking points and a dm playbook. that gives the AI facts, POVs, selling points and something useful to weave into the conversation
our assistant can help fill all of this in. or, if you already work with an agent that knows your business and writing, ask it to set up your voice directly via MCP
with auto-learn on, your edited and approved comments become new examples. around 20 comments is a good starting point for getting it close. you don't have to share all 20 upfront, it builds that up as you use it
I also believe messaging should remain manual/semi-manual, but everything around it could be automated.
thanks @michael_vavilov, it's also much more effective this way!
And we're seeing a new interesting pattern - "agent in the loop" (vs human in the loop), when Extrovert users connect their agent and they review / tweak messages through their Claude/other agents.
Like asking "what follow ups do I have for today? Approve ones that you're sure about and ask me about the others"
It's still manual review, but doing it through an AI agent makes it easier
