Would love the option to mark roles I've already applied to so Charlie skips them the next morning. Right now if the same listing cycles through different sources I might get duplicate suggestions and waste time re-reading them.

@abdulkadirsosn noted, and it's a good one. charlie already only sends fresh roles so it won't resend the same one, but a "mark as applied" control that also catches the same job across different sources is exactly the gap we want to close next. really appreciate this
Gave it a spin yesterday and was surprised how on-target the role it picked was for what I'm actually looking for. The tailored cover letter wasn't generic filler either, saved me a solid half hour.

@nuriyetrpafryu this genuinely made my day. getting the role right and keeping the cover letter honest instead of generic filler is the whole thing i obsess over, so hearing it actually saved you time means a lot. if a pick ever feels off, tell me, that's exactly how it gets sharper. thank you for giving it a spin.
OK, now this is genuinely interesting. I love the fact that it's not another app or login to remember. Just a couple of questions from me:
1) What is the commercial model? Is there one currently?
2) Is it skewed by geography? I am UK based. Would that influence the volume of jobs that I get compared to (say) US/Aus/Europe?
3) I can't see a privacy policy or similar on the site. Am I missing it, or is that not yet built? Feels like it is needed tbh.
Overall great concept and I do certainly intend to give it a go.

@martin_tanner thank you, these are exactly the questions i want to get asked. straight answers:
1) commercial model: none right now, it's free while we're early. when there is a paid tier it'll be simple and honest, and nobody using it today will get surprised by it.
2) geography: honest answer, yes, a little today. we started with the US and india, so the index is deepest there. there are UK and europe roles in it, just a smaller share right now, so you'd likely see fewer matches than a US-based user until we deepen coverage. the flip side: charlie will always tell you the truth about where a role actually is instead of padding your feed with things you can't reach. wider UK coverage is high on the list.
3) privacy: you're not missing it, it isn't up yet, and you're right that it's needed, it's a priority before we go wider. how it works today: your resume and preferences are only ever used to match you to roles, never sold, and you can wipe everything anytime just by asking charlie to forget you. i'll get the actual page published.
really appreciate you giving it a go. and if the matches feel thin for a UK search, tell me, that feedback is gold right now.
How does Charlie actually pick which role to surface each day, especially if the role doesn’t perfectly match what I’ve been applying to in the past?

@sisli85927 good question. charlie matches you on who you actually are and what you told it you want (your experience, the role, pay, location, dealbreakers), not on what you've applied to before. each morning it reads the new postings and sends the single best one that's genuinely worth your time and truly reachable, honest flaw included. so a strong role that doesn't fit your past pattern can absolutely surface, that's the point, and if nothing clears the bar, you get nothing instead of filler.
the "some days Charlie sends nothing" bit is the strongest trust signal in this whole launch, way better than the usual growth-hack instinct to always send something. one question on the last mile: when the resume and cover letter come back tailored, does it stop there and let you review and send them yourself, or does Charlie go ahead and submit the application on your behalf? that distinction matters a lot to me, I'd want a human eye on anything with my name on it before it goes out.

On "some days it sends nothing" ; that's not a gap, it's the product. Charlie writes only when a role genuinely clears your bar, honest flaw included. A missed day is recoverable. A wrong role in your inbox costs trust, and that I don't get back. So yes, some days it's quiet, on purpose.
On the last mile, and this is the one that matters: Charlie never submits for you. It tailors the resume and cover letter to the role and hands them back for you to read, adjust, and send yourself. Nothing with your name on it leaves without your eyes on it., it's a line I won't cross. Charlie does the finding, the matching, and the grunt work of tailoring. Every call that carries your name stays yours.
@gibin_michael that's the right line to hold. one follow-up on that loop - when you edit the tailored resume or cut a section before sending, does any of that feedback make it back to charlie so it learns your preferences over time, or is that edit completely one-directional right now, gone the moment you hit send?

if you download a tailored resume and make changes offline the apply it is one directional-
it is bi directional when you can simply reply back to Charlie saying i want to update XYZ [can even upload the new resume] and it will update your dossier and scan based on it
@gibin_michael that reply-to-update loop is a nice touch, most tools would make you go dig through a settings page for that. is Charlie parsing that free-text reply with the same model that does the matching, and if so, do you worry about a casual reply like "eh, cut that part" being read too literally and yanking something from the dossier you actually wanted kept?
Tried Charlie for a few days and honestly the tailored cover letter surprised me most, it actually referenced specific things from the job post instead of sounding generic. Having one curated role a day also kept me from doomscrolling listings.
