About

I started coding on a ZX Spectrum in the late 1980s (aged 8), writing BASIC and sending my programs to software houses, who were always very kind in their response. A few years later, one told me my art program would’ve been accepted if they still supported the Spectrum – but they didn’t. Then teenage life arrived and I swapped coding for a Super Nintendo. Then I grew up and got a job. I’ve worked in senior roles across operations, sales, solutions, bids, and data - in both the recruitment and the employability/skills sectors. In 2024 I returned to my passion and founded Affirmable Limited. We now run two platforms: slideAcross (multilayered, interactive presentations) and iThank.uk (automated thank you cards). Both rethink how people approach everyday tasks. Feedback always welcome.

Hi - I'm Martin and I've found so many great products already!

Hi all,

Great to join the Product Hunt community.
I'm not going to lie, I joined purely with the intention of launching slideAcross. However, in the meantime I have discovered loads of great products from Chrome plugins to video editing to AI aggregators. It's been a great journey so far and I have got into a great habit of checking Product Hunt as a mid morning treat with a coffee.
We are launching slideAcross on Monday (20th July) - I would love for you to check us out. Speak soon I hope.

Founders - would you pivot mid-pitch if you feel you have lost the room?

Pitching anything is nervewracking. In front of a room of experts, all eyes on you. Unless the audience is disengaged and have their eyes on their phone of course.
This is true of sales, but is equally true when pitching to potential investors.

So here's my question. If you've prepared your pitch deck, with a script that is fully rehearsed... what happens if you sense you have lost the room?
Do you keep pressing ahead with your rehearsed pitch, knowing that it will be professional and polished?
Or do you pivot and try and re-engage your audience by following a different path? If so, what do you do with your slide deck?

slideAcross - The only presentation software built to adapt in real time.

slideAcross isn’t just for building decks; it’s built for what happens in the room. Switch content layers live, generate new slides on demand, adapt to questions, and keep every audience engaged. Voice controls, integrated demos, and AI‑driven creation give presenters a real advantage. If your presentations are conversations, slideAcross is built for you.
