What do you think? …

Pedro Martins
For years I saved tons of browser bookmarks, backed them up, moved them between browsers, and collected things to read or buy later on X, Instagram and everywhere else. Keeping everything in sync and in one place was always a struggle. With AI, it finally became possible to organize all of this with smart summaries, context extraction and real search that actually finds what I saved. That’s why I built Bookmarkjar. It started as a solution to my own problem, and I hope it helps other readers and link hoarders around the world too. Thanks for checking it out & feedback is welcome!

@nikuscs This is a great idea to organise everything! Congrats on your launch!

Chilarai M

This is amazing. Searching bookmarks is always a pain.
Can you add support for custom notes to the app as well?

Pedro Martins

@chilarai Yes, its on the way, notes + photos & video support. This was the MVP. thanks!! ✌️

Pavel Tseluyko

It would be great to have it as a Chrome Extension and a hotkey that would add the bookmark to the app.

Pedro Martins

@pasha_tseluyko Hotkey is CMD + I or you can directly CMD + V 🫡. We "nerds" love it as well! :p also CMD + K to search.

Google Extension available to download manually ( until we approved ).

Awesome! How does this handle privacy concerns? People bookmark a lot of private stuff, from my understanding the AI looks inside articles, tweets etc, some of which might contain private information. Does it just dumps everything inside the ai?
Pedro Martins

@nair0 Thanks for your interest. Currently yes, but Bookmarkjar is only able to crawl public URLs, so usually the info should be "public" in some sort. In any case if its not able to be crawled, no resume is made ( so no AI ) but the link its still saved for you, and AI will attempt to tag based on the URL.

As a chronic "all my browsers on different devices have different bookmark folders/organization" user, I would actually appreciate this so much 😅

Pedro Martins

@r221 Thats right! Same struggle here!

Rob James

@nikuscs well done. Hope launch day is going well!

Congratulations on the launch! I was just writing to your colleagues—it would be great to make an alternative history for Safari, since it can sometimes close without the ability to restore some tabs (there’s an old bug in Safari with this).

I think soon all desktop software will have AI features.

Pedro Martins

@mykyta_semenov_ lets hope so, glad you enjoyed! Hope Bookmarkjar will make the difference for you! 🫡

A little confused, it says the free tier is 100 bookmarks a month but in the fine print it says 100 bookmarks a day?

Edit: tried to sign up and see what the subscription says but email verifications aren't coming through

Pedro Martins

@deltaxsingh You are right, typo there. Its 100 per day or 500 per month with a lifetime of 1k o the free tier. Also just validated your email thanks for trying! 🙌

Delta

@nikuscs got it, unfortunately that 1k lifetime limit is a ticking bomb. Not sure why I would want to use the service knowing my bookmarks are going to be locked in eventually.

Pedro Martins

Im not sure if i follow. The limit is for the free plan. do you expect a service to host images + inference with unlimited bookmarks on a free plan?

Delta

@nikuscs there's lots that do. Check out save.day - looks to be very similar to this product. Free has different QoL limits but doesn't limit anything essential.
