Hey Product Hunt! I’m Xi—former product lead at OnePlus (Never Settle) and ByteDance AI, where I learned how tech can reshape how we see the world. But somewhere along that journey I realised something was missing:
I was in Barcelona, staring up at Gaudí’s Sagrada Família—utterly moved, yet clueless about why it felt magical.
A quick search gave me ticket prices and souvenir ads. Zero soul. Zero story.
That disconnect wouldn’t let me go. I believe technology should re-frame the world, not flatten it into shopping links. So I left the big-company track and built Chance AI.
What it does

Chance AI actually shines with complex, multi-layered visuals - we specifically designed our Visual Reasoning system to break down and analyze scenes hierarchically. When you point it at a cityscape, for instance, it first identifies major elements (architecture, urban layout, natural features), then progressively dives deeper into interesting details, relationships, and historical/cultural connections.
For artwork, our system analyzes both compositional elements and their symbolic meanings. Take a Renaissance painting - Chance will identify not just the obvious figures and objects, but also decode symbolic meanings, artistic techniques, historical context, and even spot subtle details that connect to broader art historical narratives.
We also built in what we call "progressive discovery" - you can tap on any element the AI identifies to get an even deeper analysis of that specific component. This helps manage complex scenes without overwhelming users with information all at once.
That said, we're constantly refining our multi-element analysis capabilities. We'd love to hear about specific complex scenes you'd like to analyze - user feedback helps us improve how we handle different types of layered complexity.
