What do you think? …

Thomas Haratyk
I originally developed this little game last year as a frontend project only, without any other feature than drawing and sharing. I was inspired by Wordle, where every day you get a new challenge. It's a modest little game but the daily doodling and social aspect is addictive and somehow relaxing. I've been playing Zoodle a lot with some friends & family, and so last week I've decided to add more features, like a gallery, favourites, badges, user accounts etc. I hope you enjoy it.

@jazzytomato Congrats!
Congrats Team Zoodle on your exciting and innovative launch on Producthunt! Zoodle is truly a joy, a little daily escape into the world of creativity. One suggestion I have is to possibly introduce a weekly challenge feature, where users can try and create a specific theme-based art from the randomly generated shapes. This could foster community interaction and engagement. Keep up the great work!

@manmohit I like the suggestion! Though I wonder if the competitive nature of it is a bit antagonist to the "zen" and "relax" intention 😋
Thomas Haratyk
@manmohit thank you so much for your feedback and the suggestion! Themed games are a great idea and I’ll think of a way of integrating it into the app, maybe one day of the week could have a theme. On @julienergan point, I try to avoid competitive features or non-zen features like timed challenge or leaderboards etc… but I don’t think that themed games would introduce more competition, I think maybe the word “challenge” triggered this reaction 😄
Thomas Haratyk
@manmohit I've added this feature :) Every Sunday game will now have a (random) theme!

Cool idea and thanks for sharing it here. Best to use on mobile, right? I tried on my laptop's trackpad. Having the finger suddenly slipping, even just a bit, and messing up the whole drawing was more frustrating than relaxing for me tbh haha. Congrats
Thomas Haratyk
@julienergan thanks for the feedback! The drawing UI definitely needs some improvement on both mobile and desktop, I will try and make it better 😁

Is this guided? Because I see drawing as a good stress reliever and creativity booster b it it would be great if it was guided.
Thomas Haratyk
@imran_razak thanks for your feedback, what do you mean by “guided”?

I'm not very good at drawing so maybe I'll try this bad boy out

This is cool. What's the frontend tech used to get the canvas working?
Thomas Haratyk
@pwangszn thanks for your comment! I’ve used a library called literallycanvas. It’s ok but not maintained anymore, and I find it hard to make the UI a great user experience so I might change it!
