Hi Product Hunt Community, Huge thanks to @thisiskp_ for hunting UXWizz! I’m Cristian Buleandră, Maker of UXWizz. I’m thrilled to introduce UXWizz to you today on Product Hunt! ā„¹ļø About UXWizz: UXWizz is a self-hosted, privacy-first analytics tool combining the best of Google Analytics and Hotjar, without sharing your data with big corporations. Our goal is to provide comprehensive and easy-to-use analytics while ensuring your data remains private and secure. UXWizz is one of the very analytics platforms that is exclusively self-hosted, ensuring that it is easy to install and maintain. Unlike other platforms that focus on their hosted alternative, with UXWizz you get all the support and premium features, even when self-hosting. ✨ The Start of UXWizz: The first line of code for UXWizz was written in 2013 (actually on New Year's Eve, when, after a few glasses of champagne, I got the idea to implement a heatmaps/session recordings platform). Initially, it was a side project, but a few years ago, when the start-up I was working at went bankrupt and losing my job, I decided to dedicate myself to UXWizz full-time with the goal of making it the best analytics platform out there. With a strong background in software engineering and a passion for self-hosting and data ownership, I developed UXWizz to empower companies and website owners with insightful analytics without compromising data privacy. šŸŽ‰ UXWizz Offers: UXWizz comes packed with features including: šŸ“Š Stats: Comprehensive analytics for your website šŸ”„ Heatmaps: Visualize user interactions. šŸ“¹ Session Recordings: Replay user sessions. šŸ‘„ Segments: Understand and compare specific user groups. šŸŽÆ Events/Goals: Track specific user actions or see conversion rates for your goals šŸŒ“ A/B Tests: Optimize with A/B testing in just a few clicksĀ  šŸ¤– AI: Ask questions and receive answers about your locally stored data All of this is built on a simple, easy to run and maintain stack, designed specifically for self-hosting. Already used by 4,000+ companies, UXWizz is a reliable choice for privacy-conscious businesses. By using a single, self-hosted tool, you save thousands of dollars per year and keep all your data in-house, ensuring it never gets sent to third parties. This also makes law compliance (such as GDPR) much easier to achieve. Start your self-hosting journey with UXWizz today and see how easy it is. I would love to hear your feedback! You can get started with the UXWizz free trial or use the [šŸŽ 25% OFF ProductHunt Launch Discount] to get your one-time license! Try UXWizz now!

Hey Cristian, Congrats on the launch! I love that we can use this to track unlimited websites and visitors. As someone who launches many products, setting up analytics for every new project with a new account gets prohibitive.
Cristian
@karunakar_gautam Hi Karunakar, Thank you! I agree, and this is also why all UXWizz licenses come with Unlimited everything (domains tracked/events/recordings/etc.). It's not only cheaper like this, but you also have peace-of-mind, knowing that you won't get a huge bill if you get a traffic spike, as it happens with most hosted analytics platforms where they charge for extra sessions or events tracked outside your plan. It's also cool to see all your domains in a single place, and simply track a new one when needed.

Hi Cristian, How easy is it to set up UXWizz for someone without much technical background? And what kind of insights can users expect compared to other analytics tools? Congrats on the launch!
Cristian
@kyrylosilin Hi Kyrylo, UXWizz is made for self-hosting, and it runs on a very simple and widely-available stack (PHP+MySQL), so the platform can be easily set-up on almost any hosting provider, or even locally (it's basically just uploading some files via cPanel for example). There is also a 1-Click DigitalOcean app, so you can spin-up a new Droplet running UXWizz in just a few clicks. As for the features, you can probably find each individual feature in other apps, but very few tools have all the tools you need in a single place. As for some unique insights, here's just a few that I haven't seen in any other analytics platforms: * You see and compare user segments across all the available stats (e.g. sales coming from Google vs sales from Twitter). Most platforms allow you to only set one segment/filter at a time. UXWizz allows you to view and compare multiple user segments at once. * Multi-domain overview: you can see the real-time number of visitors across all your websites. You can also see and compare stats across domains. * Visual A/B editor: You can create and test different A/B variants by visually selecting and changing the text on your website. * Two different session recording modes: a very lightweight, custom session recording mode for static websites, and a fully-fledged rrweb-based recording system for websites with dynamic content. You can use either of them, depending on the privacy requirements, or optimize resource usage if needed. Those are just some features, but the overall benefit of UXWizz is that you get all of those tools in a single place. You don't have to pay for multiple services, share data with multiple third-parties, navigate between multiple dashboards or have to connect the data somehow. You get everything in your own dashboard, where you have full access to the data, with no restrictions. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Congrats on the launch Cristian! Really enjoyed seeing your demo in the Paddle cohort :)
Cristian
@cameron_napoli Hi Cameron, thanks for your kind words, and nice to see you here! I actually used the same quick 1 min demo for this launch; 1 min is nowhere near enough to dive deep into all the features, but I tried to show a quick example of how using multiple tools in a single dashboard can help you better understand the users than having your data split over multiple services and dashboards. I'm looking forward to your launch too! :)
Shashank Sanjay
Congrats on the launch Christian. Loved learning about UX Wizz during the Launchpad cohort. It's an awesome product!
Cristian
@shashank_sanjay Thank you, Shashank! I would love to hear your feedback if you try UXWizz. Looking forward to seeing your Resubscribe launch soon!

šŸ’” Bright idea
Congratulations on the launch! Is this project open source? Self-hosting usually means access to the internal infrastructure, and I think it's quite important to get a preview of the source code before installing it into your own Cloud.
Cristian
@semanser Hi Andriy, Thanks for your kind words, and that's a good question. UXWizz is not "open-source" in its popular meaning, as it is not free. This licensing model is more often called "source-available". So you get access to the original, unobfuscated source-code on the server-side, and the bundled client-side React application used for the UI/dashboard. You can try UXWizz on your own cloud/server or locally before purchasing with the free trial (I decided to provide a free trial, as the biggest push-back to self-hosting is during the initial setup phase, so I try to make the setup as easy as possible).
