Hello Product Hunt! Today, most information is like fast food - appealing on the outside, easy to consume, and usually bad for your health. I built Read Something Great to help make your information diet a little healthier. It's a fun tool that'll help you get smarter by serving you 5 timeless articles sourced from the depths of the internet. If you're hungry for more, smash a button, and it'll serve you 5 more. I've curated these articles myself, with help from smart, trustworthy friends. I hope you find it useful enough to save to your home screen. Hopefully, right besides your social media apps. If you have questions or feedback, let's chat! Cheers! PS: Thanks to @adithya for hunting product and helping it reach more people!

Absolutely love this! It's a great tool to find inspiring reads. Kudos on building a great product Louis :)
Louis
@shikuwangombe Thank you Shiku! So glad you like it. I'm always inspired by your design sense.

Can I sort by categories? How do you determine if an article is good or not, are they manually curated?
Louis
@ken_moo Hey Ken! Unfortunately you cannot sort by categories at the moment, although I'm considering adding that functionality in the future. I've tried to keep the tool as simple as possible, to make it useful without requiring a user to make too many decisions. And yes, all these articles have been curated by me. Some I've found and stored in the past few years, and some I've discovered recently while creating the product - since there were a lot of curated lists on the internet, made by people I respect and trust. I hope you enjoy it!
Janel
I'm obsessed with this and love how it feeds us useful, timeless articles that help us to learn and grow. Appreciate you making this to help us all focus on the signal within the noise.
Louis
@janelsgm Hey Janel! Thank you so much! Your work as an Indie hacker is an inspiration!
Tuana Çelik
This is cool, are you thinking of adding a way for users to suggest articles/reads to be added to the database?
Louis
@tuanacelik Hi Tuana! Glad you like it. Yes, Aditya just suggested that in one of the comments above as well. I will add that functionality before the day ends!
Louis
@tuanacelik Hey Tuana! This feature just went live!
Luke Cannon
This is awesome Louis, loving it already and discovered it last night!
Louis
@lcannon98 Hey Luke! Thank you. Any feedback you have is always welcome!
Aditya
@louispereira23 I love interesting, and sometimes, random reads! Is there any section to have a look at all the articles and the categories? Wondering if there is any way others can also suggest an article to be included in the list? I love to read geo-political articles 😻
Louis
@adityavsc hey Aditya! Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't included this feature yet, but I'll get it done by the end of today and ping you!
Aditya
