Why we started Kaylin
As founders, we loved building a great product, but never put in the time for distribution. We never found time to
- Post on all our different social media accounts
- Send emails that actually made sense to users
- Handle paid ads, blogs, and seo
Instead of distribution, we always kept building products, but it never led to the growth we needed.
We decided to solve our own problem, and eventually made it a business that other businesses love. Think of your local coffee shop, an online store, or even an AI startup.
How we envisoned Kaylin
From day 1, the idea was to let Kaylin be your business’s distribution center. How do you promote a sale to your social media, your email list, your paid ads, and even your blog all at once? To get there, we had to start from the main area, social media.

In reality, 99% of the information a business wants to share isn’t neatly stored on their site — it’s scattered across Google Drive, emails, text threads, or even just in the founder’s head.
That’s why our approach is different. We combine AI with a human-first process designed to actually capture that hidden context. Two key ways we do this:
Onboarding calls: In just one conversation, we’ve already built their content plan, connected social accounts, and given a guided product tour.

@zephyrion Hey Jim! Great question - our key difference is our onboarding calls + brand survey questions. Using a guided list of questions (almost a rubric of sort), we're able to capture key information for a brand, and use that for the lifetime of the customer -- essentially capturing words from their own voice via calls/emails/etc, and really understanding what they're looking for. We compile all this information, feed it into our internal AI to help develop the content.
This goes beyond the "first-step" approach that regular AI marketing tools do currently, which is simply to scrape their website. Most SMBs rarely spend that much time on polishing their website and a lot of their ideas and thoughts live in their heads, so we meet them where they are.

@busmark_w_nika Hey Nika! Thanks for the suggestion. We'd love to support Substack - a lot of our posting automations are built via the APIs for these systems, and unfortunately, Substack doesn't have a public API at the moment. We'll keep checking to make sure this is possible in the future!
