Hey Product Hunt! Deplo is an open source deployment platform built to make deploying your applications simpler, without Docker, SSH or hand-written YAML.
We built it because every self-hosted alternative we tried seemed to assume you enjoy debugging a compose file at midnight. We don't. So we built the one we wanted to use.
What's in it today:
- Deploy without Docker, SSH or YAML: connect a repo, pick a server, and you're live
- Share servers across teams, with granular control over who can deploy where
- Automatic preview environments for every pull request
- Custom roles (RBAC) from day one: define roles and control access across your infrastructure
- One-click rollback to any previous deployment, without rebuilding
- AI-ready with MCP: let AI agents deploy, inspect logs and manage your infrastructure with scoped access
- Encrypted backups with a recovery key you own
There are good tools in this space already and we're not here to tell you yours is bad. If what you run works for you, that's genuinely fine. If you've been putting off self-hosting because it looked like a second job, that's who we built this for.

We developed it because every self-hosted alternative we tried seemed to assume you enjoy debugging a compose file at midnight. A no-no. So we created the solution we wish we could use ourselves.
Two things pushed us into it. The first is the bill. Not the price, the surprise. The second is that every self-hosted alternative we tried assumes you enjoy debugging a compose file at midnight. We don't. So we built the one we wanted to use.
Talking more precisely, Deplo is an open source platform you install on your own server. Connect a repo, pick a server, and it builds it, runs it, puts it behind a domain, gets the certificate and keeps it alive. The rule we set ourselves is that you never need Docker knowledge, SSH or hand-edited YAML to get full value out of it. The shell is there as an escape hatch if you want it, never as a requirement.
