We built Brief Nine for ourselves first. My friend (data scientist) and I wanted something between Reddit's algorithm-driven discovery and traditional news apps' endless feeds. The premise is simple: limit each category to 9 stories, let users train the algorithm, but still surface important news when everyone's paying attention. Still rough around the edges, but it's been my daily driver for a few weeks now. Would love feedback on what's missing or broken. Roadmap: WhatsApp delivery, browser extension, more topics & widgets (Android & iOS).
