I've been thinking about this a lot lately, especially working on AINA.
Even a few years ago, job hunting meant tailoring your resume manually and preparing for interviews mostly alone (or with a friend, or sometimes a coach if you were ready to invest).
Now AI is everywhere in the process. Candidates use it to rewrite resumes, practice interviews, and figure out why their applications aren't landing. Recruiters use it to screen resumes, write job descriptions, and even run first-round interviews.

@kristina__grits Love this, congrats to the team! I've seen so many strong people stuck in a job search with no idea why. can AINA tell the difference between "your profile is weak" and "you're just applying to the wrong roles"?
AINA
@olia_nemirovski Olia, thanks for the question!
Yes, exactly - what the first conversation with our career coach is designed to understand: what is actually blocking your job search?
For example:
Is your resume too weak?
Is your positioning unclear?
Are you struggling to choose the right role?
Do you not know where to start?
Are you changing your career direction?
The goal is to understand the real problem first, instead of giving the same advice to everyone.
👋 Hey Product Hunt!
I'm Natallia, founder of AINA!
After 10+ years around hiring, HR tech, and operations, I kept seeing the same problem from the candidate side: people can be great at what they do and still have very little clarity on why their job search isn’t moving, how recruiters actually perceive their profile, or what they should change before the next interview.
That’s what we built AINA for🫶
AINA is an AI career companion that you can actually talk to. Tell it where you are in your career, what you’re trying to achieve, what isn’t working - or ask it to run an interview with you. It uses your experience and goals to help you understand what may be holding you back and gives you concrete recommendations on what to do next.
And the coach is only one part of AINA. You can build your professional profile, discover relevant jobs, apply, prepare for interviews, and manage your job search in one place.
It's free for candidates today, and this launch is a big moment for our team. We're taking part in the GPT-6 Astra Challenge with OpenAI, and it came at the perfect time for us. We use GPT-6 Astra to strengthen the personalized development plans candidates get after each coaching session.
👉 You can start your free session here.
Just create a profile with your LinkedIn or CV, then select Career Coach in the header to start your first session - or explore everything else while you're there.
If you try it, I’d genuinely love to know one thing:
Did AINA tell you something about your career or job search that you hadn’t thought about before?
And if there’s something you wish it could do - tell us. We’ll be here reading every comment 🙏

@netali_eu Is there a way to practice specifically for behavioral questions vs technical ones?
AINA
@netali_eu @maria_anosova
Absolutely! We’re developing different practice scenarios, and behavioral questions are an important part of that.
For example, users can practice self-introduction, talking about their experience, and answering common behavioral questions not only technical ones.
In fact, we see this as one of the most important areas to practice, because even strong specialists can find it difficult to present themsellves clearly in an interview.
AINA
@maria_anosova Great question! I’m actually really glad behavioral practice came up here. It’s such a big part of interviews and often one of the hardest things to prepare for on your own.
So having a chance to practice it before an actual interview can be really helpful!
AINA
@tehreem_fatima5 Thank you! Yes, exactly
Job hunting can feel like such a black box, so we want to make the process more transparent and help people understand what actually woks and what needs to be improved

Congrats on the launch! How do you make sure the feedback isn't too generic?
AINA
@vlad_shipilov Thanks, Vlad!
We spent a lot of time working on the architecture and prompts behind AINA, using our recruiting expertise.
The core of our coach is already quite strong - the same logic has been used for interviewing candidates for more than a year.
So I’d say it’s a mix of good prompts, product architecture, our recruiting experience, and modern AI models.
With Astra already integrated into the career coach, we can build a more flexible conversation flow and make the feedbck much more personal and relevant.
AINA
@vlad_shipilov I’d add one thing from my recruiting background: good feedback should reflect the person’s actual experience, goals, strengths, constraints, and the roles they’re targeting. Not just give advice that could apply to anyone. That’s the standard we’re trying to keep with AINA.
Great question, Vlad. Thanks for bringing it up!

I believe hiring market is a hard thing now so many people just need such a product!
BTW I have an idea that even people having current place of work already should think about their next place and the system which can propose suitable offers would be really helpful for everyone
Push you up and good luck!
AINA
@dvoretskii Thanks, Sviatoslav! You actually spotted something we already have in AINA :) Based on your profile, AINA can recommend opportunities that might be a good match for you, even if you’re not actively job hunting. Would be great if you try it yourself and let us know how relevant the matches feel!
Congrats on the launch! Is there auto-/semiauto-apply feature?
AINA
@denis_prodan
Hi, Denis!
For now, we prefer a semi-automated approach. AI can help with the process, but we want candidates to stay in control and make every application intentional.
For us, this feels more valuable than fully automatic applictions.
What do you think about autoapply?
@kseniia_ponomareva cool, I was wondering how to speed things up when applying and something like autofill would be a cool feature
AINA
@kseniia_ponomareva @denis_prodan That makes sense! I think that’s exactly where AI can be really useful: reducing the repetitive parts while keeping the candidate in control of where and when they apply. That balance is really important to us.

Very interesting and useful product! Finally something relevant to many people in all industries! Question: can I use this if I'm not actively job hunting, just want to improve my interview skills in general?
AINA
@margarita_s88 Thank you for such valuable feedback, Margarita! Yes, absolutely - you can use it to practice and improve your interviw skills even if you’re not actively job hunting
AINA
@margarita_s88 And even if you’re not actively job hunting, you can still use AINA to keep an eye on the market, see relevant opportunities based on your profile, and stay open to interesting offers from companies :)
Dograh
Congrats on the launch! Can AINA tailor interview practice to a specific job description and company?
AINA
@sandeep_vemu Thanks, Sandeep! Yes, absolutely. At the start, you can simply tell AINA about the specific role and company you’re preparing for, as well as the interview format (HR screening, technical interview, etc.). AINA then tailors the practice to your situation, so the questions and feedback are much more relevant.
