What do you think? …

Why we built Givgive? Because borrowing a drill from your neighbor should be easier than buying a new one. We believe in a world where generosity beats ownership — and local connections matter. Givgive is not just an app. It's a movement. Join us, city by city.

@crazystartuper I love this! I've been reading some news coverage about libraries offering "tool libraries" as well for their communities. Maybe libraries interested in something like that but don't know how to get started would be interested in being local adopters / ambassadors.

Hey PH friends

I’m Mikhail, a founder on a mission to make sharing easier than owning.

Givgive was born out of a simple idea:

What if your neighbor already has what you're about to buy?

With Givgive, we’re building a hyperlocal sharing network — city by city —

where people can lend, borrow, and give everyday items instead of buying more.

After burning out on my last startup, I wrote a book — Crazy Startuper.

A story of mission, mistakes, and finding faith again.

Now I’m back, building again.

One drill, one neighbor, one act of generosity at a time.

Would love your feedback — and your support

@crazystartuper Congrats on the launch, Mikhail! Givgive is a refreshing shift from “buy more” culture. Curious, how do you plan to solve the classic cold-start problem so borrowing really feels easier than buying?

Bobby Zipp

@crazystartuper  @tonyabracadabra i think something being free rather than being something you have to pay for is a pretty easy sell.

This should be used by more people worldwide. [BTW, Is there any "insurance"/guarantee that the borrowed item will be returned in the same good condition? And that it will be returned at all?]

Just checked out the website Michael, wishing you and Givgive all the success, I hope this is in every neighborhood soon.

This is awesome, @crazystartuper ✨ Though if I borrow my neighbor’s drill, does that mean I also borrow a little peace and quiet? 😂

Interesting idea ! Thanks for the project.

Is there a situation when the thin g I need is not with my neighbor, but with his neighbor? And do I also have a thing that my neighbor neeeds?

Lisa

Congrats on the launch 🎉 Givgive is a great idea to save money and build community!
