👋 Hey friends — I’m David, founder of Demystifyd.

When I arrived in the U.S. as an international student, I came with big dreams…
But I quickly ran into a harsh reality:
😞 Visa stress/immigration uncertainty
😞 Culture shock, Isolation
😞😞 Endless job rejections.
😞 And the feeling that I had to figure everything out on my own.

I wasn't the only one. Almost every other U.S. international student I knew struggled in silence.

But... I didn’t quit.

Through relentless effort, I landed roles at Tesla, NVIDIA, and Apple — and eventually self-petitioned and received the EB-2 NIW Exceptional Ability Green Card — a milestone I never imagined when I first stepped into this country.

I built Demystifyd so that no international student or immigrant has to walk this incredibly tough journey alone again, ever.

This isn’t just a platform; it’s a movement.
A support system designed for us, by us — to help you succeed in the U.S., whether you’re here already or just preparing to make the move.

💡 Here’s what we’ve built to support you:

🤝 Weekly Video Speed Chats and Connections
• Meet other students and immigrant professionals live — from your country and beyond.

🎓 On-Demand Courses by Immigrants:
• Learn proven job search tactics, immigration strategies, career hacks, and more — directly from U.S. immigrants who’ve walked the path and achieved success.

🧠 1-on-1 Mentorship
• Get guidance from people who’ve been where you are — and made it.

🌍 70+ Highly Curated Community Support Groups
• Join support groups based on your culture, career path, or life goals — and find your people

⚡️ Live Events
• Access curated events to support your U.S. journey. Example: The Demystifyd Power Hour (starting May 15th) — a live, expert-led session for resume reviews and Q&A.

Whether you're on J1, F1, OPT, STEM, H1B etc — or just figuring it all out — 👉 Demystifyd was built for you.
Because thriving and succeeding in the U.S. shouldn’t mean doing it alone.

If this message hits home, I’d be honored to have your support today.
And if you're going through it right now, please know: you’re not alone and you belong here.

Let’s thrive — together.

I like the idea. Can this service also take into account the current situation in the US and the stricter measures against "non-US citizens" that have been in place since January?

David Ajoku

@busmark_w_nika  Great question. We’re mindful of the evolving landscape in the U.S.

To help users navigate this, our job board tags employers who have a history of sponsoring visas, so international students can make informed decisions before applying.

Nika

@david_ajoku Neat approach. I can see you are several steps ahead! :)

Evan Paul

Wow, pretty sure alot of students/immigrant would find this helpful!

With policy changing every quarter, wouldn't there be operational challenges to run this platform?

Congratulation on the launch!!

David Ajoku

@evan_paul Thanks Evan!

Hugo Pochet

Great initiative especially considering the current context :) Congrats on the launch, all my positive energies!

David Ajoku

@hugo_pochet I appreciate it Hugo!

Michael Vavilov

Certainly, there is a market for that product. Congratulations!

David Ajoku

@michael_vavilov Much thanks Michael!
