I've been thinking about this a lot lately, especially working on AINA.
Even a few years ago, job hunting meant tailoring your resume manually and preparing for interviews mostly alone (or with a friend, or sometimes a coach if you were ready to invest).
Now AI is everywhere in the process. Candidates use it to rewrite resumes, practice interviews, and figure out why their applications aren't landing. Recruiters use it to screen resumes, write job descriptions, and even run first-round interviews.

@kristina__grits Love this, congrats to the team! I've seen so many strong people stuck in a job search with no idea why. can AINA tell the difference between "your profile is weak" and "you're just applying to the wrong roles"?
AINA
@olia_nemirovski Olia, thanks for the question!
Yes, exactly - what the first conversation with our career coach is designed to understand: what is actually blocking your job search?
For example:
Is your resume too weak?
Is your positioning unclear?
Are you struggling to choose the right role?
Do you not know where to start?
Are you changing your career direction?
The goal is to understand the real problem first, instead of giving the same advice to everyone.
👋 Hey Product Hunt!
I'm Natallia, founder of AINA!
After 10+ years around hiring, HR tech, and operations, I kept seeing the same problem from the candidate side: people can be great at what they do and still have very little clarity on why their job search isn’t moving, how recruiters actually perceive their profile, or what they should change before the next interview.
That’s what we built AINA for🫶
AINA is an AI career companion that you can actually talk to. Tell it where you are in your career, what you’re trying to achieve, what isn’t working - or ask it to run an interview with you. It uses your experience and goals to help you understand what may be holding you back and gives you concrete recommendations on what to do next.
And the coach is only one part of AINA. You can build your professional profile, discover relevant jobs, apply, prepare for interviews, and manage your job search in one place.
It's free for candidates today, and this launch is a big moment for our team. We're taking part in the GPT-6 Astra Challenge with OpenAI, and it came at the perfect time for us. We use GPT-6 Astra to strengthen the personalized development plans candidates get after each coaching session.
👉 You can start your free session here.
Just create a profile with your LinkedIn or CV, then select Career Coach in the header to start your first session - or explore everything else while you're there.
If you try it, I’d genuinely love to know one thing:
Did AINA tell you something about your career or job search that you hadn’t thought about before?
And if there’s something you wish it could do - tell us. We’ll be here reading every comment 🙏

@netali_eu Is there a way to practice specifically for behavioral questions vs technical ones?
AINA
@netali_eu @maria_anosova
Absolutely! We’re developing different practice scenarios, and behavioral questions are an important part of that.
For example, users can practice self-introduction, talking about their experience, and answering common behavioral questions not only technical ones.
In fact, we see this as one of the most important areas to practice, because even strong specialists can find it difficult to present themsellves clearly in an interview.
AINA
@maria_anosova Great question! I’m actually really glad behavioral practice came up here. It’s such a big part of interviews and often one of the hardest things to prepare for on your own.
So having a chance to practice it before an actual interview can be really helpful!
@maria_anosova One quick clarification, Maria: today AINA automatically combines behavioral/STAR, situational, and technical questions based on your role and seniority. We’re now working on dedicated tracks.
Would you prefer a fully focused session or the ability to customize the mix yourself?
AINA
@tehreem_fatima5 Thank you! Yes, exactly
Job hunting can feel like such a black box, so we want to make the process more transparent and help people understand what actually woks and what needs to be improved
@tehreem_fatima5This was one of the biggest reasons I wanted to build AINA. I’ve seen so many strong people whose real value simply didn’t come through in their CV, and they rarely received enough feedback to understand why.
Giving candidates that context before the next application can change the entire job search.
Was there a moment in your own career when you wished a recruiter had explained how they saw your profile?
@netali_eu congrats launch..... the idea of the talking your careers instead of just the getting generic advices is a interesting, and also the interview practice sounds useful.
how does it decides what to focus on the first???
AINA
@netali_eu @atul15 thank you! It identifies the candidate’s career scenario based on their answers and then adapts the advice depending on their situation and nxt career step.
@atul15 Thank you! AINA starts with your CV or LinkedIn profile, target role, seniority, and career goal. It identifies the biggest bottleneck affecting your chances of getting interviews or offers — such as unclear positioning, missing evidence of impact, a skill gap, or interview readiness...
The coach then explores it through follow-up questions and turns the findings into prioritized next steps. Interview practice follows the same logic: questions adapt to your role, level, and experience, combining behavioral, case-based, and technical scenarios.

@netali_eu is there company specific tracks as well? Cracking Google vs Anthropic would have different interviews, different styles, even the number of rounds. Leetcode for job interviews would be cool.
@shreyans_assistiv Great point - company-specific interview processes can differ significantly in style, depth, and number of rounds. Today, you can specify the company, role, and interview format, and AINA will adapt the practice session to that context.
Full tracks that mirror each company’s entire interview process, including LeetCode-style coding rounds, are not available yet. That’s a strong direction for us to explore. Which company and role combi
AINA
@netali_eu @shreyans_assistiv Good point. Right now, our interview practice is more focused on the role, seniority, and candidate background rather than a specific company!
But.. company-specific tracks are definitely something we’re thinking about!
For exmpl we already had have specific scenarios to medicine and gamedev cases
Tobira.ai
Congrats on the launch! How do you make sure the feedback isn't too generic?
AINA
@vlad_shipilov Thanks, Vlad!
We spent a lot of time working on the architecture and prompts behind AINA, using our recruiting expertise.
The core of our coach is already quite strong - the same logic has been used for interviewing candidates for more than a year.
So I’d say it’s a mix of good prompts, product architecture, our recruiting experience, and modern AI models.
With Astra already integrated into the career coach, we can build a more flexible conversation flow and make the feedbck much more personal and relevant.
AINA
@vlad_shipilov I’d add one thing from my recruiting background: good feedback should reflect the person’s actual experience, goals, strengths, constraints, and the roles they’re targeting. Not just give advice that could apply to anyone. That’s the standard we’re trying to keep with AINA.
Great question, Vlad. Thanks for bringing it up!
Anysite.io
I believe hiring market is a hard thing now so many people just need such a product!
BTW I have an idea that even people having current place of work already should think about their next place and the system which can propose suitable offers would be really helpful for everyone
Push you up and good luck!
AINA
@dvoretskii Thanks, Sviatoslav! You actually spotted something we already have in AINA :) Based on your profile, AINA can recommend opportunities that might be a good match for you, even if you’re not actively job hunting. Would be great if you try it yourself and let us know how relevant the matches feel!
@dvoretskii I really like this point. Some of the best career moves appear before a person starts actively searching.
This is how we see AINA evolving as an ongoing career companion: understanding your goals and surfacing a small number of genuinely relevant opportunities at the right moment. Relevance is critical — every recommendation should feel worth your attention.
What would make you consider an opportunity while happily employed: role fit, growth potential, compensation, or the company itself?
Swytchcode
Wow! great
Does it cover tech interviews as well?
AINA
@chilarai Hi, thanks for question!
It covers tech interviews too - the questions adapt to the role and vacancy, so you can practice both role-specific and behavioral questions.
@chilarai Yes especially for practicing technical reasoning and explaining your decisions clearly.
AINA adapts to your role, seniority, and experience, and can cover role-specific technical questions, practical cases, architecture decisions, and trade-offs. Live coding isn’t part of this version yet.
Which role and tech stack would you want to test it with?
AINA
@chilarai Thanks for the great question! Really glad you brought up the tech side as well!
Alconost Localization Lab
Very interesting and useful product! Finally something relevant to many people in all industries! Question: can I use this if I'm not actively job hunting, just want to improve my interview skills in general?
AINA
@margarita_s88 Thank you for such valuable feedback, Margarita! Yes, absolutely - you can use it to practice and improve your interviw skills even if you’re not actively job hunting
AINA
@margarita_s88 And even if you’re not actively job hunting, you can still use AINA to keep an eye on the market, see relevant opportunities based on your profile, and stay open to interesting offers from companies :)
Alconost Localization Lab
@alexandra_senyutich great, thanks for the ideas ;)
could you please tell me what the free plan includes (and is it valid only today?)
I was thinking to give it a try this weekend. but figured I better update my LI profile first...
AINA
@margarita_s88 AINA is free for candidates, not just for launch day) You can come back and use it whenever it’s convenient for you!
And you actually don’t need to update your LinkedIn first. When you sign up, you can add your LinkedIn profile and AINA will analyze it, show you what could be improved, and give you specific recommendations. So you might want to let AINA help with that part too!
@margarita_s88 Absolutely and that’s actually one of the best times to practice.
Without the pressure of an active hiring process, you can experiment with how you present your experience, strengthen your STAR examples, and practice questions tailored to your role and seniority. You can also use the Career Coach to explore your next career step while you’re still happily employed.
What role or level would you like to practice for?
Fundraisly
Congrats! Does the interview practice adapt to the actual role/company you're applying to?
AINA
@solodnev Thanks, Stepan! Yes! You can tell AINA about the role, company, and the type of interview you’re preparing for, and the interview will adapt to that context. Or you can simply practice with one of the general interview scenarios.
@solodnev Exactly and one more detail: AINA combines the role and company context with your own background.
It uses your CV, experience, seniority, target position, and interview type to build 6–8 relevant questions across experience, behavioral scenarios, cases, and technical topics. For senior and lead roles, it also explores trade-offs, strategy, and influence.
Afterward, you receive a concise breakdown of your strengths, gaps, and what to sharpen before the real interview.
