Hi ProductHunt community, this one's a meaningful one to me.
I made LettuceTalk to help me talk to my mom about her care as she got older and went through some health scares. It was hard enough for me to ask about such sensitive topics (wills, burial preferences, medical wishes, and more), but even more challenging because of the language barrier between us. I built LettuceTalk to bridge that gap and help me start those conversations with joy and compassion, and my family cried and laughed together using it.

Yes, I want LettuceTalk to help us start the conversations that we avoid most with our families and loved one, whether it's because it feels vulnerable or because of language/cultural barriers. By starting with caregiving, I want to show that even in the most fearful conversations about caregiving and aging, we can build technology that brings us closer together during our hardest times. From there, I'd love to use the lessons I learned in this hardest use case to make other family conversation topics more joyful and easy as well :)

This is an extremely unique idea that you have brought to life!
It does matter and it is positively impactful for the people we care for.
Contrary to what people think, I also believe that as we grow, it actually becomes more difficult to have those hard conversations (equally for them and equally for us).

I agree, it's hard to reach across the generational and cultural differences with our parents, and those gaps become even more difficult each time we avoid hard conversations. I hope LettuceTalk can help us all connect when we're taking care of each other during life's most vulnerable moments.
Tried this with my mom (Korean speaker) and it made such a difference. The prompts helped us actually talk about things we usually avoid. Beautiful idea.
