Well, the design is a head turner, but this is not winning Apple Design award any time soon. Imagine every app would force another toolbar with aggressive coloring - we would hate using our Macs.
It's good to be a little different - for example those notes having different colors - good job, but I wouldn't make an entire window purple - it just doesn't look good.
Ulysses has a great design and it looks like there is no design. Yet it won an ADA. Design in Mac apps is great when people don't notice it.
I don't want companies to force their idea od good-looking on me, I trust Apple with this.

What about encryption and privacy?

@kevinohlsson We're firmly dedicated to privacy. We're not reading your notes or selling your data or anything like that. Notebook will never have ads.
As for data security, all of your notes are securely stored on Zoho's infrastructure, with multiple data centers in the US, Europe, and Asia. Your data is encrypted in transit; we are looking at encrypting data at rest Zoho wide.
I would love to download this. It's not currently available on the Australian App Store. I recently downloaded the watch app for Notebook, which also downloads the phone version. I found it really beautiful and great for taking a quick note on the watch. I looked for a Mac version a few days ago but didn't find it. Now it's here, it really feels like this product is complete as you could use it on all your devices. We just need access in Australia.
