Zeity for macOS - A menu-bar timezone companion for distributed teams

by
A menu-bar timezone companion for distributed teams. Your friends' and teammates' local times always one click away — with conversion that doesn't make you do the math. Search timezones by city or place name. Custom emoji avatars so you can see who's awake or asleep at a glance. Native desktop widgets, AppleScript support, launch-at-login, and one-click in-app updates. macOS + Chrome — same data syncs between them via JSON.

Hey Product Hunt 👋

i'm Pariola — a remote design engineer who got tired of the "wait — 3pm where?" moment every time someone tries to pin down a meeting time.

Zeity (/ˈtsaɪti/) is what i built so i'd stop. it lives in your menu bar, surfaces your friends' and teammates' local times at a glance, and lets you convert times across zones without opening another tab.

it started as a Chrome extension i hacked together for myself — born out of 7am meetings and late-night calls. folks who tried it kept asking for a Mac version, so i finally sat down and built it native. Swift, real care for the little details.

a few things i'm proud of:

- searches timezones by city or local place — not just abbreviation names — using Apple's native APIs
- native widgets, AppleScript support, launch-at-login — actually feels like a Mac app, not a wrapped web view
- one-click in-app updates that skip the App Store dance
- genuinely snappy — Swift, no Electron, no browser-tab overhead

→ macOS: [DOWNLOAD]
→ Chrome: [ADD TO CHROME]

hit me with feature requests in the comments — i'm here all day.
