A very useful concept! I think a couple of things need to be added to make it really useful: is it possible to let users somehow filter for the category? (Thriller, Science, etc.) Also: Language levels for languages differ. For Chinese it would be better to rate books from HSK1 - HSK6. Lastly, I think developing a chrome plugin that shows the level directly on Amazon or GoodReada would scale bettet. All the best! πŸ€—

@michael19 thanks for the extended feedback. I'll try to research and implement these ideas :)

πŸ‘‹Β Hi PH community, I’m Dima, the developer behind ytalki.com πŸ€” How ytalki works 1. People set the language level from A1 to C2 for the books they read. 2. Other people can choose foreign books based on the ratings from A1 to C2 given by other users. πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» Why I created ytalki I like learning foreign languages and I spend a lot of time looking for foreign books for the intermediate level of the language. If I started reading a book with a level above mine, it becomes tiring, if below, it becomes boring. Reading a book in your native language, and immediately taking it to read in a foreign one, is mega boring. Thank you all, and I hope you will enjoy using ytalki.com as much as I enjoyed building it. If you are interested, feel free to join our small community of discord (https://discord.gg/K55EeJCQjt) Happy to answer any questions and comments.

Congratulations on the launch! I’m a big proponent of the input hypothesis and this seems like a great resource! One small piece of feedback I wanted to share is that at first glance I confused the name with iTalki, another popular language learning app. I just wanted to mention it as the confusion with the similar name may be something others experience as well.
Dmitriy
@mkenny Thanks for the feedback :)
