The reason I built this is very simple. I had an assignment, no time to do it, and copy paste was no longer an option. Large pasted blocks are easy to spot today, whether it is teachers, bosses, or platforms themselves. So instead of forcing the assignment, I built a small app that would type the text out the way a human actually would. Ironically, building the app took long enough that the assignment still was not finished in time. But from that point on, future assignments were no longer a problem. I want to be clear that I am not telling anyone how they should use this. That is entirely up to the user. For me, it was a personal workaround to a very real constraint. Typing speed, rhythm, and pauses matter more now than ever. WRITO was built for myself first. Only later did I realize that other people were running into the same limitation and could benefit from a tool that types like a human instead of pasting like a machine.
