How to make your launch go viral - AMA w/ CEO of Wispr Flow

by

LIVE March 13th at 12:30pm PT

Hey everyone, CEO of Wispr here.

We did two product launches over the last five months, both went viral on X, LinkedIn, and ProductHunt, and helped us build a large audience in a short period of time.

We had a lot of builders and founders reach out about advice as they were thinking about launching their own products and strategies that work across channels. I spend a lot of time thinking about building growth loops in our product, driving organic conversations, and building a product love to use and talk about - which sets a strong foundation for launch.

Today, AMA about our launch, product thinking, how to kill it on X, LinkedIn, Product Hunt, or really anything about the product. Everything's on the table so ask away!

Hi , congrats on the launch! I hope this isn’t a silly question! How can I reach out to the hunters I’ve supported in the past to ask for their support on my product launch? I couldn’t find a direct message function on Product Hunt—am I overlooking something?

Hi , congrats. What steps did you take to build your communities of followers before the launch?

Hi Tanay! I made the decision to launch on this weekend, as oppoed to during the week, because my goal is to climb the leaderboard and hopefully get the #1 spot. I am going to be engaging with several communities and promoting my launch all week. Which communites, forums, or platforms do you recommend for engagement? And what's the best way to approach this? Is it better to try to engage organically and not make it seem like a promotion or is it better to be straightforward? Thanks!

Wow, congrats Tanay and team! I’ve used Wispr Flow, and it genuinely makes "babbling away" feel so much more conversational, especially on those “I cannot type one more line” days 😅

What impressed me most was not just the product itself, but the brand, concept, and overall creative identity. It feels thoughtful, polished, and very clear about the behavior it wants to unlock: speak naturally, keep moving, and let the tool handle the friction.

I’m still fairly new to Product Hunt and the wider startup space, but now that I’m building my own product, I’ve started paying much closer attention to the tools I use. When something looks great, works well, and solves a real problem, it really stands out. Wispr Flow feels like one of those rare gems.

As a solo founder myself, I can imagine the persistence, vision, and difficult decisions it took to build and launch this. Seeing products like this ship is genuinely inspiring as I work on my own tool, Tansei:

I’d love to hear what the biggest lesson from the journey has been so far. Also, how do you decide what belongs on the roadmap next when there are so many possible directions, features, and problems to tackle?

Super handy product, beautifully executed, and wishing the whole team an amazing launch!
