Does this leverage AWS AppSync? or support coming soon?

No plans for AppSync at the moment. Any particular reason why you need AppSync? Webiny comes with Apollo Federation.

Vercel at the moment lacks a lot of plugins to be able to run Webiny on top of it. Once their ecosystem evolves we might explore it. FaunaDB is something that can be integrated by writing an adapter for our DB layer. Let me know if you need details. It's best to join our community slack and discuss it there:
