Hello, Congratulations on the Launch. I wanted to ask about User sign in process and does Webiny offer email and password login , and Social Login like Strapi or not ? and can you provide more details about access rules , as some of the documentation is still not available

@ahmed_kassem1 Webiny uses AWS cognito as a user pool, you can easily extend our sign in process and add support for social logins. We don’t have a plugin out of the box, but creating one is fairly simple. Give us a ping on our github in case you need help with this. As for the ACL it’s quite powerful and has many features like roles, scopes and groups allowing you to tune access to a great deal of detail. Some of the docs are still in progress but the team is happy to answer any questions in the meantime.

Looks great. But any plans to work with a different database? I dislike mongoDB for numerous reasons but in light of your product byline of “Stop paying for stuff you don't use” it seems a strange choice.

@thetwopct Yes, we're working on adding additional databases to the list. It's hard work, but a lot of users asked for it, so we want to make the community happy. What database in particular would you like to see?

@svenalhamad Anything really. I just won't use Mongo. PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, couchDB I guess are all good alternatives 👍

I love this idea. I dont prefer mongoDB and wish it supports dynomoDB. Also, instead of using Apolla GraphQL, AppSync could be used. But I completely understand that this is user choice and you cannot make everyone happy. Great work team.

@muthukumaran DynamoDB is something we're currently evaluating - stay tuned (or subscribe to our newsletter). AppSync is not something we're looking at right now. Any particular reason why you would want AppSync?

@svenalhamad Because I don't want to install and maintain Apollo (dedicated EC2 for running Appolo additional cost).

@muthukumaran With Webiny you don’t need a dedicated EC2, you don’t need any EC2 machines. Webiny runs Apollo inside a Lambda function, so zero maintenance and you pay per request.

@jewgeni_lewash Thanks for the question. At the moment only AWS is supported, but we do plan to introduce other platforms in the future. How much you will need to pay, it's hard to say, but market reports show anywhere between 60-80% less when compared to traditional servers.
