the ritual part is the easy half honestly, the hard half is who picks the story. whichever one you surface is already an editorial call and people will read a position into it before they even vote, so the selection rule is basically the product. the other thing i would worry about early is sample size per country. a result that says 61% with 11 votes behind it reads as noise, and once someone doesnt trust the number they dont come back for the reveal, which is the bit that makes it a daily habit at all. is the plan to show the vote count next to the percentage from day one, or hold results until some minimum? becuase that one choice decides whether early users read it as a real signal or a toy.

@rabnoor_s I agree 100% with you. We aren't picking the story. That's why I delegated it to an AI with an A4 long prompt to try to be as "objective" as possible. It won't ever be perfect but we are going to improve the sources from which the AI decides on the question. I never want to be in a position to have to manually do it.
To the percentages point - yes the absolute votes count will be visible for now from the beginning. We do show for example total votes on politicians also, so people know this is an app with roughly thousands of users anyways. I can see it going both ways but some people don't mind being part of a growing community if they can see the potential.
