Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Vimukthi, the maker of Velo. I built Velo because I was exhausted by traditional budgeting apps. They either felt like a data-entry job with endless menus, or they required syncing all my sensitive financial data to the cloud. I wanted a tool that was as fast as texting and completely private. That's why the core of Velo is the "Chat-to-Track" interface. Instead of navigating through multiple screens to log a coffee, you just type natural shorthand like "pizza 10" or "salary 5k" and hit send. It removes all the friction from daily tracking. A few other things I built in to make it fit into actual daily life: Local-First Privacy: Everything is stored directly on your device using a high-performance local database. Your financial data is yours alone. Real-Life Pay Cycles: Not everyone gets paid on the 1st of the month. You can set a custom financial month starting date so your budget resets on your actual payday. Visual Categories: Limitless categories cause decision fatigue. Velo lets you set up to 10 custom categories paired with emojis, reducing cognitive load so you can categorize expenses at a glance. I'd love for you to give it a spin.
