Using Sign Languages and AI Voice for connection people from afar
Hi there! I am the founder of Uvilox AI.
In this thread, I wanted to open up a conversation about how we can build a truly inclusive digital world for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
Communication is a fundamental human right, yet traditional solutions like human video remote interpreting are often too slow, expensive, or completely unavailable during midnight emergencies. We built Uvilox AI to change that by turning real-time sign recognition into a high-performance, life-saving utility.
Currently, we have built an ISL and ASL sign languages and Video calling functions integrated through it, and a medical AI chat which can help the users get detailed medicine.
We are officially launching our free public beta today and would love to hear from this community!
To the makers and engineers: What technical challenges have you faced when optimizing AI models for real-time video, and how did you overcome them?
To everyone: What accessibility features or integrations should we prioritize next to maximize our real-world impact?
Looking forward to your thoughts, feedback, and ideas! Let's build a more inclusive future together. 🚀
