When I was at Algolia, I was drowning in 200 emails a day. I was never sure where to focus, and getting through my inbox took forever. I knew it didn’t have to be this way. Instead of creating a new messaging protocol, I bet on rethinking the tool everyone uses: email.
We built the first email client where agents do real work alongside people. We designed Upstream to be easy to pick up and fun to use.

@geoffroy_de_cooman1 As soon as you join, Upstream creates a custom writing agent that analyzes writing style, tonal shifts, lowercase usage, abbreviations, greetings, sign offs, and more for each audience. We also adjust the tone of AI drafts depending on the context of the current conversation. On top of that you can even customize the prompt to fine-tune exactly how you want to sound.
This looks really promising! Does it work across multiple Gmail accounts?
