You might be building a personal project, startup or another Facebook. To get there faster and check how your ideas work out, you want to use complete and scalable building blocks for different parts of your system. Uploadcare is your block for handling files. From just a couple to millions. With only a few lines of code you get the ability to upload, store, process, cache, and deliver files.
Thanks for the hunt. Uploadcare 3.0 is a major update affecting almost every element of the Uploadcare ecosystem. Great product, as a founder-level developer (admit it - average :) i struggled with uploads to S3. Sometime later i learned about Uploadcare and decided to try - and was amazed by simplicity of integration, snappy speed, and great support service they provide. Highly recommend to any startup with the need to upload&store media.
thank you! This is the best motivation for us to move further and to keep building the best file handling API on the market 🔥
Cheers! Have been using uploadcare for years now and since haven't had a headache about image processing, uploads, user avatars and other stuff. Even write an uploadcare-loader for webpack to handle static assets:
thank you so much! we value our community, there are tons of great things that community helped us to do, and we'll give back! a lot of open-source stuff is scheduled for this and the next year 🙌🏻
I currently upload to s3 using just the AWS SDK. This does the job but as I'm MVPing right now, I just have single file upload and the UX isn't great (no feedback to let the user know what's going on etc). 1) Would this product do some of the heavy lifting for me? 2) Could I use my existing S3 bucket?
Yes and yes. You'll get an uploading widget that can put files to your own S3 bucket. Most of our customers use our storage since it simpler to set up, but UC is flexible. We would be glad to have you on board!
Mick, yup, we can do the heavy lifting for you and you can use your own bucket for uploads. There are few ways to configure this, so please contact us for more instructions when you have time to play around with the service.
Guys, kudos on the great responses on here and also on your site (I emailed support). This is a great product but it's not for me right now. My file uploading requirements are a bit too custom for me to invest the time re-writing the functionality with uploadcare. Once I prove the concept works for my product I will likely be back!
if you could describe your use case in an email, I could try to give you the estimations on what it'll take to use Uploadcare instead of simple S3. In most cases, it's worth it :)
What email address?
We use Uploadcare to handle user generated content from the very beginning of SplitMetrics, it has saved us tons of time, money and focus. Thumbs up!
great to have you on board! Our motto is: build ideas, not techs.
Using UploadCare in all my projects and couldn't be more happier.
thanks! It's the best motivation for the whole our team ☀️
Congrats to Uploadcare on the major update!
thanks Chad! We'll try not to forget to announce the next version like we did with Uploadcare 2.0 😅
Superhot!
super thanks! ❤️
How does this work for video files and transcoding?
we're shipping video processing and transcoding later this year. stay tuned!
I'd switch over to you guys for all our video transcoding needs if you can get it implemented.
great! I'd suggest to create an account, so we could update you when that happens.
