Why French small businesses are still struggling with AI

by

I'm currently two days away from launching my project, and there is one thing I’ve noticed while building lesoutils-ia.fr that I wanted to share here.

I didn't start this just to build another affiliate site. It actually came from a pretty simple frustration. Every time I talked to friends running small businesses in France, they seemed completely overwhelmed by the AI hype.

For them, all these new tools just feel like background noise. They don't have the time to test dozens of different platforms or keep up with every new launch. They just want to know one thing: how is this going to save me two hours of work on a Friday or help me close a deal?

The language barrier is part of it, sure, but it's more about the business culture. Most AI tools are documented for US startups, not for a traditional French SME.

I decided to build a platform that talks to them in a way they actually understand. No marketing fluff, just independent reviews and workflows that work in a local context.

I’m curious to hear from others here who deal with non-English markets. Do you think these tools are failing to adapt to local business cultures, or is it just a matter of time before they catch up?

I'll be in the comments if anyone wants to chat about it.
