The Problem That Sparked FitSnapAI
Over the last few months I kept hearing the same thing from small clothing brands and boutiques I work with:
“We can upload products to Shopify instantly… but the photos take days or even weeks.”
A few recurring issues that came up in almost every conversation:
• flat lay photos don’t convert well
• photoshoots are expensive + slow to schedule
• new arrivals sit in inventory waiting for images
• stores lose momentum because they can't publish fast enough
One boutique owner told me:
“The clothes are ready, but the photos are always the bottleneck.”
That line stuck with me.
It’s basically what pushed me to explore whether AI could help speed up the workflow without sacrificing realism.
I’m curious:
For those of you who’ve worked on similar problems, or in e-commerce in general — what do you think is the hardest part of keeping product photos consistent and fresh?
Is it lighting? Editing? Model shoots? Or just the time delay?
Would love to hear how others see this problem as I’m preparing for launch.

What surprised me most was how many brands said speed mattered more than perfection.
“Good enough today” often beats “perfect in two weeks.”
Didn’t expect that.
