Stepping Into Building After a Corporate Path

Hi everyone! I’m Kyle. I’m a software engineer with over 7 years of experience across a wide range of work. I’ve built full stack systems, worked on backend and frontend, handled DevOps, worked with Linux and legacy software, and spent time in the ads space.

I’ve known about Product Hunt for a long time and would browse it from time to time. I always wanted to build and launch something, but kept falling into the cycle of “tomorrow” or “today was a long work day.”

Days turned into weeks, then years, and it honestly surprised me how long I let that passion sit on the sidelines.

After spending so long in a corporate environment, I feel a bit out of touch with how to connect with other builders again. There are definitely fears of failure and of things falling short. At the same time, there’s the dream of building something I genuinely care about and maybe one day making a living from it, even if that still feels far away.

I’m here to start putting myself out there, learn from others, and reconnect with that part of me that loves to build.
