I am just finishing off my first SaaS project that automates Shopify Products (Title, Tags, Vendor, Type & Category). I created the SaaS app because I was frustrated by the lack of bulk automated products for Shopify and that most of the tools available only allow for exporting data to external csv files, manipulating them manually and then importing them back into Shopify. I feel that frustration with external CSVs deeply—it’s exactly why I built CatMap (launched it on PH today!).

We focused specifically on automating the 'Category' field because mapping to Google Taxonomy IDs manually is such a pain.

Since you are automating Shopify fields, I’d love to hear how you are handling the taxonomy matching logic? We found regex was too brittle so we went with an AI approach.
